  1. Before you replace the camera itself, you must verify the integrity of the wiring, connectors, and terminals. No short circuits, open circuits, poor connections, etc.
  2. Unplug this connector so that the heater is disconnected from the IPMA. Then, carry out the IPMA module reboot. Finally, carry out the IPMA self test. You should get DTC B120C. The IPMA should detect that the heater circuit is open because the heater is unplugged. If the IPMA does not detect that the heater is unplugged, then there could be a short circuit or something else that is causing the IPMA to think that the heater circuit is still ok.
  3. I have no idea is the mustang tail light nuts would actually fit or be the same size. They just look similar.
  4. It looks like there are no problems with the IPMA. If you unplug the heater, and run the IPMA self test again, you should get a DTC.
  5. Here is the closest visual match I can find, but it doesn’t seem to fit the context of the HVAC duct or an Edge. https://www.topflightautomotive.com/products/ca-1964-1966-ford-mustang-tail-light-housing-mounting-nut-set-8-pieces/
  6. None of the related parts of EM2B-R01902-AC seem to match the photo of the missing nut.
  7. Do you have a photo of this one that seems to be similar?
  8. The rear 180 degree camera is so useful because you can see way more. The view is amazing! 🤩
  9. @Iroga I did some more testing. I now have an IPMA self test. I unplugged my heater again, and the IPMA self test successfully detected it.
  10. Thanks to @Beefnuts video, I was able to install a new rear camera. The solution was to pull extremely hard because of all the plastic clips.
  11. Thanks for sharing. Good to know they are free.
  12. It is another simple AsBuilt change. Inside of the APIM, change cross traffic alert from disabled to enabled. This should work for both SYNC 3 and SYNC 4.
  13. On some vehicles, such as the Explorer or Maverick, there arrows on the screen for rear cross traffic BLIS alerts. This is also possible for the Edge. As you can see from my video, the “Please check surroundings for safety.” message is replaced with “Vehicle coming from X!” There are also animated red arrows on the side that the vehicle is coming from. 14. Yes, auto hold is in the owner’s manual, but it is not equipped on any Edge. Auto hold is available on other vehicles such as the Lincoln Nautilus. Similarly, the Fusion does not have auto hold, but the Lincoln MKZ does.
  15. The IPMA uses input from the front camera and the ambient air temperature data from the PCM to command the heater on and off. The heater may be commanded on if the ambient temperature is below 5°C (41°F).
  16. I am also interested in this. My 2021 2.0l is at 70k mi. Although I would rather wait closer to 100k or 150k before I get an induction service.
  17. I tried to look for an IPMA self test on the latest version, 2.4.17 beta, but I was unable to find it. However, there was an IPMB self test. To test, I unplugged my camera heating element. I tried some other module self tests, but they did not affect the IPMA heater. I still did not get any DTCs despite my camera heating element being unplugged. I suppose that to get a DTC, the vehicle probably has to attempt to power on the heating element so that it realizes there is a fault. It is not cold enough for the heater to turn on.
  18. As @dabangsta explains above, Stop and go adaptive cruise control and hill start assist and not the same thing as auto hold. These are all three separate driver assist features. In this topic / thread, I am referring to auto hold only.
  19. I have never seen it before. Do you have a green auto hold icon on the instrument cluster? Can you share photos of auto hold working?
  20. I can confirm that there may be a solution to get auto hold working.
  21. It is extremely disappointing for Ford to put auto hold in the owner's manual, yet we don't have it on our vehicles.
  22. I don't find it to be a very useful feature, but the distance indication icons and colors are well implemented and not distracting. I will keep it on because I find it interesting to see the different driving scenarios of when the system detects a vehicle ahead, especially how it is able to track the vehicle during curves. The distance indication can be easily disabled in the instrument cluster. I find it extremely disappointing that Ford explains this feature in the owner's manual, yet it is disabled on our vehicles. I wonder why this feature was disabled?
  23. Ok, so I tried to remove the rear camera today. I removed the 2 inner tail lights / reverse lamps. I also removed 6 bolts on the center trim piece, but I just can’t seem to get the center trim piece to come off.
