I ordered a 2012, what a nightmare. Never again. Right now on 2012 there is $1000.00 rebate. 2011 has $1500.00 plus $1000.00 for financing thru Ford, but their interest rates are pretty high.

My PTU repair has held up just fine, it's been a year and a half.

Originally told 1500 then 2500 now I think 1000. I am TOTALLY unclear on what the rebates for 2012 are.

This isn't going as planned. Dealer called today to tell me they goofed on the rebates and are taking back $1500.00. NOTHING is easy.

Saturday I took the plunge and ordered a 2012 Edge. Not being able to see Mineral Grey Metallic I have approximately 10 days to decide if I want that or the Ingot Silver. Spent today going to a few dealers that listed having Mustangs and Explorers in that color. Did not find any of the cars. I will keep trying. Also, I apologize if I missed this on the forum, no more MFT? That name is not mentioned in any 2012 literature. I was given a copy of an updated ordering guide. They refer to it as Sync and you can get Navi and the touch screen, also am told it is dumbed down this year from the complicated database 2011 has.

I agree with you. I was trying to decide between the two. Just this morning I saw an article about all of these changes. They are significant so I think at this point it is the way to go. Not getting a very good deal on an 11 anyway so why sink a bunch of money into one at this time.

Kelly Bluebook says my trade should be 21,300. Edge SEL's with twice as many or more miles are selling for 25-27k. Mine is extra clean, still under warranty. Still smells new. So I think it is better than a garden variety auction car.

I have read there are differences in Edges depending on when they were built. I have been presented a sticker with the date of 1/28/11. Should I be concerned about buying this one? Thanks.

On my quest for a new Edge, dealers are telling me that my Kelly Blue Book calculatin is way off. Being told black book is what they will pay. I have not found online access to black book pricing. Can anyone help? My 2008 has low miles and is still under warranty and in excellent condition. I don't see how they can compare it to something they would buy at auction. On used lots they go for big bucks right now.

You mean match it to the dark back windows? Are they going to fix it?

I checked last nite. Mine has interval and then two speeds where it is constant. The lower speed is more of a medium speed.

You just made me remember the word I was looking for-muddy. Some pics make the color look muddy, sort of khaki.

I found pics of the Flex. All look different so hard to tell from a picture. Some look dark some look light some look flat. I saw a Flex on the road yesterday but not sure if it was that color. I read that it has brown undertones. My Edge is Vapor Silver and in my opinion has yellow/brown undertones and I like it. Any thoughts on this color? I am not a huge fan of bright silver so thought this might work but dont want a dull color or anything that resembles brown.

I got the impression he was asking if there is a setting where it constantly wipes the windshield but doesn't go super fast. The setting before the fastest speed still has an interval, although it is a short one but it is not constant.

I spent my Saturday car shopping. No one wanted to give me a fair price for my trade or make a deal on a 2011, so I took my ball and went home. Problem being that I have a limit to what I will spend, and the Limiteds that are left euquipped the way I want all have the roof, and it puts it over the top for cost. I ran numbers for ordering one the way I want it, so if I can get my trade I will do that. So I started researching 2012's and see that they have a new color, Mineral Grey Metallic. From what I have read, it is not a new color but new to Edge, seems to have been around for a long time. However, I would like to see it in person. Does anyone know if there are current models out with the color on it or if it has been named something else previously? Not sure if the paint code I found is correct. Thanks.

I love my iPod Nano, it lives in the car attached to the usb. Glitches every so often, just have to restart it and plug back in.
