It's not a bug in Sync. My iPhone does the same thing. You have to go into the phone and change the source for the music to speaker instead of bluetooth, then it won't connect automatically.

Maybe it was built on a Friday.

Does that bumper offer any protection to the other driver?

Did you remove the phone before trying to re-pair it? also, did you reboot the phone?

The tires that come on the Edge are not cheap tires, but at 50k miles could be close to needing replacement. Only time I ever replaced my shocks was on my old Blazer at 130k, after a wreck there was a noise no one could identify and it was something to try. Turned out the shocks were fine and had never been replaced before that either. On the same note when I was trying to find the noise on the Blazer I took it to a shop I trusted and their answer was it needed 3k in suspension repair. I told them nice try and did nothing. Another mechanic found the noise, a loose hood bolt. So what I am saying is that I would be careful what you believe. We are still at a disadvantage with being treated unfairly with things like this. Take it to a tire store for an opinion on the tire wear. And batteries are funny in that they like to up and die on you with no warning. So replacing it before that happens is not a bad idea. But you can get a good battery at the store and put it in yourself for probobly 1/3 of the price of the dealer. You can go to an auto parts store and ask one of the guys behind the counter to test it for you to see if the dealer was being truthful about it needing replacement.

Is it the new Nano or is it the shuffle? Shuffle won't work with Sync.

Wait, so a problem that was supposed to be fixed midway through the 2010 model is now a problem on the 2011's? Anyone here that has information on this issue? I was really looking forward to upgrading but not to go thru this again.

Hi BBF-out of curiosity does AWD, FWD and rear wheel drive all 'roll' about the same or one more than another? I remember when I drove sportscars way back not to park anywhere close to a curb or parking block because the car would always roll when parked. Most people that have owned an old Camaro or Firebird/TA learned that the hard way.

Carfax takes a long time to report, so if it was a recent accident/repair it won't show up yet. Have a good body shop look it over see what they think. You may have recourse because you just bought it. Better Business Bureau could be helpful if you need them.

I had a Blazer ZR2 before my Edge. I got t-boned July 2008. After it was fixed there was this noise-most annoying noise EVER. I took it back to the body shop, couldn't find it. Three car savvy guys could not find it. Replaced the shocks, could not find it. Took it to a repair shop, said it was the ball joints. Knew that was not right. So I kept driving it with the annoying noise. I narrowed it down to the front passenger area. Noise would get worse with speed and bumps. In December that year the fuel pump blew and it went to a shop where they fix my dad's fleet trucks. They fixed it took it for a test drive, called my dad and asked why in the world would I drive it like that. He explained what I said above and the mechanic said 'give me 10 minutes we'll find it' and he did. Hood was not bolted on that side, that was it. Cars have a sick sense of humor.

I never dial using Sync, just answer calls-my microphone is bad and doesn't understand me most of the time, but if I remember correctly to command it you have to press the sync button and say 'phone' and then your command. To answer you can just hit the phone button. I have accidentally pressed the phone button and it wants to redial.

Why would they remove it? That is a selling point sometimes. Are they going to make it right?

Isn't rear air/heat a seperate option?

Did anyone check the spare tire? Loose? Not sure if I am missing something here-a brand new car and it would need to have different wheels/tires put on to eliminate this loud annoying noise? I re-read the thread to see if aftermarket wheels were put on but not seeing that. Is this an issue with the 2011's at all?

The chrome looks so nice with the light colors. I have always driven black cars/trucks until I bought my Edge and I actually prefer the lighter colors on it. I have the vapor silver. I saw a 2011 in the light silver and loved it. At first I thought it was a sign of getting old but decided it is just a nice look.

I feel like I am the only one here that likes the chrome grille. Am I out of touch now?

I asked the same question way back and a few of the guys here said to use Maguires products and to wax them like you would wax the car to help keep the gook off. I never did that so I suffer with tarnished wheels.

Maybe it is the mask job, he could paint the whole car and peel off the tape.
