  1. This ticks me off because I just bought a 2012 and from what I can tell the lots are full of Edge's that are not selling right now, so in a month or two when the 13's roll out they go on sale and have bigger incentives to move them and all I got were the $1750.00 in rebates. What a bummer. And I disagree that it will not affect value. Value is affected as soon as the model years turns on any particular model.
  2. My new 2012 gave me problems also. Originally I thought it was sensing me to the side of the car as I walked away but now I think it was the rubber around the edges of the opening and it just needed to break in, seems to be fine now.
  3. Merry Merry Christmas everyone.
  4. B & I has the dash kit in piano black. I am going to get one to cover those areas, they are horrible.
  5. My 2008 with Sync would do that. Pulling and putting back the fuse fixed it. I think a lot of us here have had to do that.
  6. Mine disappears all of the time and then pops back up. It happened this morning so I was going to voice control it to play but the voice control button would not respond. I am guessing it will be fine later. I am also hopeful the new update will fix these things.
  7. Sounds like the anti-lock kicked in. Very sorry to hear this happened. Another reason to consider using your insurance is to have someone behind you for the repairs should anything go wrong. It always cost more than what is estimated too.

    IPOD

I have a 5th generation Nano (no touch screen) that works great, it lives in the car. Can't get them anymore from what I can tell. My only concern about a touch screen ipod would be the glass and screen in extreme weather. Right now Target will give you a gift card with an ipod purchase, new in the ad yesterday check it out.
  9. You are just a baby lol. Amazing how we survived without cell phones. I had a bag phone for college but it cost $10.00 a minute to use it, so only had it for extreme emergencies. I remember the days of waiting for calls, and that was before caller id so you didn't know who it was and my sister and I would fight over the phone. I did not meet a computer until college and even then it was not mainstream, it had the large floppy disk. Spent a lot of time at the library to do reports going through encyclopedias and microfiche. Don't miss those days and don't wish them on any kid. If I had a kid I would feel good knowing they had a cell phone to reach me and that they could do school work without struggling to find information. They may not know Dewey Decimal and other things we do however they have their own modern day challenges to meet and new and better things to learn. Even the planets have changed since I learned them in school haha.
  10. I got the 20's because the Pirellis are rated beter for snow than the Michelins. I had an '08 with 18's and Michelins and could not stand them in snow. And the 20's look really nice.
  11. Without a light, hopefully you won't shoot someone with your flash light or cpr mask instead.
  12. And for those of us not not mod-savvy, stick with my idea of a small battery operated taplight in there.
  13. No no, making their food at the counter. They eat at the table-KIDDING! LOL
  14. Well guys, you jinxed me or I jinxed myself with this thread. Last night I was boiling eggs, making lunch, feeding dogs on the counter next to the stove. Leaned over a bit and singed the ends of my hair on the pan.
  15. I neglected to mention that I turned in a 2008 that I really liked. It did not have bells and whistles, so I admit the MFT was overwhelming to me when I test drove it. However, what is nice is that the menu is broken down into 4 parts, one in each corner of the screen so you choose what you want and there it is. There is more if you dig deeper but the basics are pretty easy to grasp once you study it.
  16. I would like to know if there is or will ever be a way to add a color to the selections.
  17. I got my 2012 a few weeks ago and the MFT has only gone down once. I was able to get it back by pulling out the card and restarting the car. I took the advice of someone here that said to be sure to wait for the navi etc to fully load before using. The upper right corner will say loading maps . . . and when done will show the street you are on. Takes about 30 sec.
  18. The one flaw in your plan is that you are taking away things that are used for work, and most of us would be ok with that. Especially the cast iron that does not require actual washing. Getting her pots and pans taken away so you cook is evil genius.
  19. I did set a towel on fire once. It was a little scary. And to be politically correct, it's not burned, it is twice baked.
  20. I can do better than that. (Long time ago) my fiancee at the time had the cranberry Visions cookware, the glass stuff. Had used a bunch of the pots pans and covers and had them stacked on the stove. Whole pile went and every one broke.
