One of the tabs (out of three) will be a little bit larger, but with some careful insertion (yeah, I laughed too) you'll get it in (laughed again). Calibre Posted October 10, 2012 Author Report Share Posted October 10, 2012 I'm not sure if there was a change. I've been told the bulb that works is a 9006. The tabs on the 9006 look different and much smaller than the factory 9012. I received some great advice on the forum to use the 9006 and shape one of the tabs to make it fit. Edgieguy Posted October 10, 2012 Report Share Posted October 10, 2012 You know, come to think of it...I was told to use a 9006 in our 2011 Explorer, and had a real bitch of a time lining up the bulbs... Yet on my Edge I used a 9005 and had no problems. Im going to compare the two when we get the Ex back and see if it makes a difference. Ill report back once thats done.
