C2000
I have s 2011 sport and still have the original Pirelli tires.. I have noticed a howling sound when driving on a smooth blacktop road,,I don't think I have heard this since new..I do rotate the tires every other oil change..I'm not sure this noise if from the tires or possibly the rear end..I will have it checked but just wondering if anyone else has the same problem.?? C2000
I have 29k on it. I will have the tires checked and rotated next oil change and have a tech ride with me in the veh to point out the noise....... Jerry in Minnesota..... Road Dog
I too get a "howl" on a specific blacktop road but only when I am doing 50-55mph and only on this specific 2 mile stretch. I have 19K on the tires. it is weird becasue the only other time I hear anything like it is on the interstate which is grooved concrete. I wonder if there is enough "voids" in the blacktop surface to cause the noise?
C2000
Well I took the Edge in yesterday and had a tech ride with me,,they checked the veh for for any loose bearings or suspension problems and there were none..I was told the tires are the problem they are cupped/chopped on the inside causing the howl on all four tires.. He recommended driving until the tires get more worn then replace and have a 4 wheel alignment done.. So it appears that the alignment was off from new causing the tires to wear on the inside ... Road Dog
sounds like I might want to get my alignment checked
