scootewr1184
I recently upgraded to the factory nav and replace the switch in the steering wheel. Now all the phone button does is answer a call and redial. I've tried holding it down. I've tried double tapping it. I've tried just tapping it once. Only does redial. Before upgrade it would go to phone, hang up phone and answer phone. I've also done a master reset. Does anyone know about this? Do I need to upgrade my softwhere? brettbolt
I don't know the answer to your question, but how did you upgrade to factory NAV? My 2013 Edge SEL has MyFord Touch and I would like to upgrade to factory NAV too. Also, how much did it cost? Thanks.
gary712
besides changing the steering wheel switch you have to rewire the switch. also you have add wiring to the sync module.
akirby
That was a 2008 non-MFT system. You could simply swap out the head unit for a nav and it works. You can't do that on 2011+ models with MFT.

Waldo
To the OP, I suspect you need to reconfigure the settings in the Sync module. But this isn't something you can do without a dealer diagnostic tool, and even then it's not something dealer's are trained to do.

There are several products that allow you to replace the factory head unit with an aftermarket one having navigation (Kenwood, Pioneer, etc.) but in your case the best option might be the Intraphex GPS Navigation system which integrates navigation into your MFT equipped Edge using the existing factory 8" screen. http://www.intraphex.com/portfolio/ford-navigation/ http://www.autofixinfo.com/IkEA4HoWFIM7F4/2013-FORD-EDGE-INTRAPHEX-GPS-NAVIGATION-SYSTEM.html Neither site has pricing posted so I have no idea how much it costs but it sure looks like an interesting product.
wlepse
Thanks for the reply. So I guess the only option is to use a portable Garmin if I want NAV in my 2013 with MFT. Think you are better off with that or using your phone. I find the OEM Nav to be terrible. Sometimes it can't locate me for a while and most routes it picks are questionable. I pretty much only use my phone now since it is so unreliable.
