I have been facing a problem with my 13 SEL which is a burning smell when hard accelerating ( 3500-5000 rpm) while the AC in on circ. I have taken the vehicle to the agency twice for repair they said that they have done some modification with the exhaust system however problem still exists,have any one faced the same,please advise. Tjm623 Posted August 5, 2016 Report Share Posted August 5, 2016 I've had this, but only on new vehicles that I've attributed to engine or exhaust being broken in. But, have you had an oil change recently? If they were sloppy and some oil spilled it could be burning off and your getting that through the vents. enigma-2 Posted August 6, 2016 Report Share Posted August 6, 2016 Almost sound like the exhaust gas smell entering the cabin under hard acceleration complaint that so many others are writing about.
