JayPaul Posted June 16, 2020 Report Share Posted June 16, 2020 (edited) Hello, I'm new here. I just bought a 2015 Edge Sport. It currently at 88,900 miles. Today I notice a smell coming from my car and it smells like fart or rotten egg. Its coming from behind the battery. Does anyone know this could be? I'll attach some pictures below. omar302 Posted June 16, 2020 Report Share Posted June 16, 2020 Bad battery? If it is more than 2-years old I'd suggest to start by replacing it. From you photo, I geuss it is the factory installed battery because MtotorCraft replacement have red stickers. If that is the case, then your battery is at least 5 years old. Don't remember reading a case in this forum, but googling does show results. Just search (rotten egg smell battery and you'll find many results).
