enigma-2 Posted August 17, 2020 Report Share Posted August 17, 2020 I believe that the SDARS module needs to be programmed during installation by the dealer. Ford dealers offer a module exchange for audio items. I would call the parts deparment at your local dealer and ask about it. There is one (possible) "test" you could try first. Gain access to the module and give it a sharp rap. (Usual failure is a failed solder joint and sometimes a rap on the outside of the case will fix it. (Can't hurt a failed unit). jmr061 Posted August 17, 2020 Report Share Posted August 17, 2020 Likely it will need to be programmed for your vehicle and then you will have to call up Sirius if you have a subscription and talk to someone competent that can change your ESN.
