2011 MKX Interior lighting issue

Recommended Posts

The interior lighting quit working a couple weeks ago when I open the doors or push the interior light button on the headlamp switch. I checked all the fuses including the interior lighting fuse and they are all good. Every fuse in both fuse boxes are good.  Ironically, The Puddle lights have always worked in conjunction with the interior lights and they still work fine. I can also manually turn the inside lights on by pressing the light itself so I know the circuit is good. But they don't activate when any door is opened or when I push the inside light button on the headlamp switch... I replaced the headlamp switch thinking it may have failed but the new switch didn't fix it.

I heard that this is a common problem for the MKX and Edge but I cannot find anything on fixing it online.

Would anyone on here have experience with this issue?   Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
