Battery Charging Question?

Recommended Posts

I have a Ctek Battery Charger Conditioner with a cigarette lighter attachment to charge a sports car that I have.  Is there any way I can use that on my 2015 Ford Edge Sport?   Will I do any damage if I connect it to a power outlet?  Do they even stay powered up when the car is off?  Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks

Ed

I wouldn’t recommend it.  Most ports do power off at some point.  Should be just as easy to connect directly to the battery

you would have to mod an oulet to always on OR add one that is always on. would be handy with a solar trickle charger.
