johnmarkp
I got the VDM and the connectors. I ran power and CAN2 (from the headlight control module) to the unit. The car does not see the VDM according to forescan. The VDM is powered up, I got 5v on the height sensor reference voltage pin. I reversed the CAN2 wires just to make sure. The wiring diagrams have the + and - switched sometimes. I put a cheap scope on the CAN2 wires and it looks like I have the right ones. I think there may be a setting in a module somewhere that tells the car that VDM is part of the allowed configuration. I tried changing the setting in the IPC that turns on the display part and it would not write. It gave a module configuration error. Not sure what to do next. I only found one reference to "Continuously Variable Suspension" on all the usual forescan type sites. It is for the IPC part. Wubster100
Did you create a new FORScan profile?
johnmarkp
I did create the new profile. I am going to try a different place to grab the CAN2 signal and make sure the signal is actually getting into the VDM

Did you get it to show up? FORScan only shows the modules that are physically present and that it has the information for by vehicle model and profile. johnmarkp
I did not get it to show up. I confirmed that it was powered up and I am 99% sure that the CAN2 was hooked up properly as well. I assume that the profile characteristics are in as built database. I cannot figure out how to fool the system. It would be interesting to compare my 2019 ST with a 2019 Nautilus with and without Adaptive suspension. Can we still get the as built data by VIN number? I don't remember how to view the as built data, can someone remind me?

Wubster100
FORScan may not show the VDM because it is not expecting to see it for your vehicle. However, if you had a Nautilus profile, it might show up.

dolsen
I added an HCM to a 22 F150 and there was some programming that had to be done to it before I was able to program it. I believe it needs to be initialized to the vehicle. Don't ask me how to do that though because I didn't do it😅
