Unfortunately I have one that was built in August of 2010 so it uses a BT4Z-2C219-A which has been discontinued. Does your 2012 use the newer DT4Z-2C219-B? I have been looking at the ones on eBay but they seem to use refurbished and remanufactured interchangeably. Not sure I want to go through the hassle of replacing it with a used part just to have it failing after a couple of months. I just hit 200,00 and was planning on keeping the car as I love it, but now I may have to rethink that. If you were to change out the circuit board, then yes. The replacement circuit board would contain the programming from the old car. . I'd imagine that the module is fairly complicated and you'd need to source the parts. If they had to change the EPROM, probably could reprogram it to your car.
