I have a 2010 Ford Edge and wanted to know if anyone has ever changed their oil pan gasket on the 3.5L ? If so any issues or estimate on how long it will take and what needs to be taken off to change.....thanks

Bit late on a reply but its a major job involving removal of the motor...whole job is around 15 - 20 hours

I've never looked under the car, but why would the whole engine need to be removed for an oil pan gasket? seems like something that is accessible from below.

It looks simple at a glance but the timing cover has to be removed because it is attatched to the pan which means valve covers etc also need removing along with PS etc....nice weekend job its good fun ;)
