mdeery Posted October 18, 2016 Report Share Posted October 18, 2016 Hey everyone, New to this forum. I have a 2011 Ford Edge Sport with the 22 wheels. I live in MN and went through a winter last year with those bigger wheels. They worked as expected. That said, I'm looking for some winter wheels for the vehicle, and was curious if anyone knew if 17" wheels will fit the sport? Tire rack appears to say yes, but I figured I'd go to the experts. I found a quality set of used wheels online I was looking to possibly buy, and the tires are 235/65R17, and the wheels came off a 2011 Ford Edge SEL. Thanks for any help. WWWPerfA_ZN0W Posted October 19, 2016 Report Share Posted October 19, 2016 I believe the SE trim level on the 2011 comes with a 17" wheel, so I would get a wheel/tire that matches those specs. The wheels you are looking at are probably fine, assuming they are either OEM or were carefully selected by the owner to match. I purchased a set of 22" Winter tires from them and the difference in snow compared to the All(3) season tires is noticable. I wanted the smaller diameter wheels that would have cost less, but my spousal unit wanted to maintain the OEM wheels. It was a compromise. I am a longtime Tire Rack customer and they do a great job, in the past few years I have been using DTD they have competitive prices. They also offer free shipping and tons of rebates if you use their Credit Card (not a big fan of that practice) but they also offer 9months 0 interest...It is great to have choices.
