EdgeofReds Posted September 14, 2017 Report Share Posted September 14, 2017 Got my 2016 Edge with Sync 3 going with Apple car play by swapping the USB hub and getting the system updated to 2.2. Since then, Ford's site says there is a 2.3 update. I downloaded it and ran it on the same USB s tick as the 1.0 to 2.2 upgrade, but the system never says updating like it did from the other update. Put a few MP3's on that same drive and it works fine, as does carplay when hooked to my iPhone. Any ideas? Anyone been able to get USB to update to 2.3 yet? I've also heard there is a 3.0, and found a version from a nav system in a mustang on another forum. Any issues with upgrading using that package to 3.0? Quila Posted September 15, 2017 Report Share Posted September 15, 2017 I just checked the Ford owner site and it says I updated to Sync3 v2.3 on May 6, 2017. I think Ford's site might be a bit confused unless they've figured out some magical way to go back in time and change the version I updated to. That was when I updated to v2.2. RetiredgE Posted October 6, 2017 Report Share Posted October 6, 2017 I have a 16 Titanium; have never gotten an update via wifi; downloaded version 3.0 to usb drive; update was successful; already had the new usb port when i updated to v2.2.
