Investigated the next day and this is what I found. Any idea what it is and where it may have come from? Apparently it was building a nest under the engine trim cover. The white stuff looks like batting, have no idea where it came from It was clean and snow white, no evidence of mouse droppings or urine anywhere. I'm just concerned that maybe it came from inside the car. We don't have anything in the area that has the white batting. I guess for now it's a mystery. My engine was covered with about a 5 gallon bucket of fresh grass clippings along with a lot of the hood liner and foam engine cover. I thought it was pretty amazing they didn't gnaw on any wires.
