  1. Greetings.... So, you gonna be our first member to drop a Turbo er uhhhh Supercharger on your 3.5L?
  2. Should be easy for you to take your reading and it will plot straight line on logarithmic graph paper.
  3. Go to a Lincoln Dealer and order a set thru there. They're the same as for the Edge, and you just have to grip under a corner of them, to pop them off your car to replace.
  4. I've seen these shady character's standing at a street corner near a dark alley saying"Pssst, kid, you wanna try a little red in that color?" and sure, someone wants a thrill.... then it's more than just red, it grows to a stronger tone, like copper. Soon you can see your just looking for commercials on TV, that have nothing but red, or your hanging out at the local body shop.. waiting for the paint guns to be emptied. Someone will try to do an intervention. send you off to a southern climate where the dark tone's are frowned upon... slipping you polarized sunglasses.... then.... one day when your feet slip out of bed, you realize.. it's the RED man.. it's always been that.. it's too much and it's caused too many problems.. the tickets,, the hot women.. the late night parties.. all the invitations to do the mall opening's.... yea....... that's how it starts.....
  5. I have to agree with Tom, it's a modern version of a station wagon, but one that people don't mind being seen in. It even has a Vista Roof. Wonder what other model offered that in a station wagon?
  6. NM20%20%20%AS1 OR 5"NET TX25%25%ANY%AS1 OR 5"NET New Mexico (New?) has the most LIBERAL Laws allowed. http://www.tintdude.com/laws.html Signed: Sheriff Buford T. Justice
  7. I'm just going to flat out say it. WHY DID YOU START A NEW THREAD? USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION, OH I FORGOT, YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE AND THIS IS EASIER
  8. Aftermarket may mean you also have to cut a hole at the bottom of the rear bumper. Best to go to a place and have them place one on the vehicle and see if that has to be done. Hopefully they can cut it and it ends up looking nice.
  9. Correct, those were pulled from pre-production and destroyed actually. But by then, the problems must have crept into the normal production schedule. A few were used with the crash test dummy's, but then they went on tour. I knew at one time, they had specific people working on the line to see that certain problems didn't get to the dealers, and they were hoping that the dealers might be able to fix them. But unfortunately, now people are starting to report them, and resorting to the last straw of Lemon laws and such. It's almost a given now, when a problem creeps up, you just have to ask, "IS it RED?" Nod and empathize with them.
  10. Goes to show, that the problems aren't just isolated to the '07, and '08's
  11. Mine is White, and yes, I've had a few problems, but nothing like the RED ones. The '08's have fewer paint choices, perhaps the '09's will be just one less now, Let's hope not.
  12. Has anyone else noticed the increased inquiry's into all the Red Edge problems lately? Or is it just me?

  14. Ford has isolated the RED Edges at the factory now, behind a fence. They have a Kaizen/Black Belt team working on it. Also PPG has noticed a drop for their paint. Hopefully they can determine if they can be fixed before the holidays. But I doubt if their will be a widespread recall or TSB's released. Use the search for problems, too many to list here.
  15. This car isn't for you. I mean, it doesn't have the XM, and that right their is a deal breaker, + it's got those bad brakes, and the engine is just underpowered and won't be delivering the mileage your looking for. Best to go look at that Lexus. it's exactly what your looking for.
  16. I like your research , very very thorough.
  17. It's an undocumented feature.
  18. Since you didn't take the time to click those links and read about the lemon law for your state of Kansas, here is a summary (1) The same nonconformity which substantially impairs the use and value of the motor vehicle to the consumer has been subject to repair four or more times by the manufacturer or its agents or authorized dealers within the term of any warranty or during the period of one year following the date of original delivery of the motor vehicle to a consumer, whichever is the earlier date, but such nonconformity continues to exist; (2) the vehicle is out of service by reason of repair for a cumulative total of 30 or more calendar days during such term or period, whichever is the earlier date; or (3) there have been 10 or more attempts to repair any nonconformities which substantially impair the use and value of the motor vehicle to the consumer and such attempts to repair have been attempts by the manufacturer or its agents or authorized dealers. You have 8 more attempts to get it repaired.
