  1. Where exactly do you turn them on? I was wondering in one I saw but was in transport mode so I figured it was in the touchscreen somewhere.
  2. If it's software they won't release the patch until some testing is complete, which can take a while then they need to get all the approvals, etc. Unfortunately one of the drawbacks to a brand new system
  3. Maybe, I'm up in Ohio. I'll try to give one of the local dealers a call and see if I can get more info for you.
  4. Thanks! Their generic oscilating tool for $20 sounds good to me! http://www.harborfreight.com/multifunction-power-tool-67256.html
  5. 4:05 starts the Edge review, fyi. LOVE how they go from the Edge to a Porche Cayenne.... not bad company to be with!
  6. Your dealer should be able to locate the program in their system. I don't have the exact promo code for it but 3 different dealers verified it on top of the 1500 retail cash (and applicable with A/X/Z plans).
  7. ?? You'll take issue then agree with me? I didn't say every 22 on the MKX would look funny, just the ones from the Sport. Straight spoked chrome 22s would like nice (like a bigger version of the 18s on the limited)
  8. Does it say if it is valid with A/Z plans as well by chance? Also, for anyone who cares, there is another $1500 off for returning Ford Credit customers (lessees or buys I believe) on a purchase. (on top of the retail $1500 off)
  9. Classic Windows pics, love em!! The cracked screen would FREAK my wife out (and probably end up getting me my butt kicked!)
  10. Impressed by the drive. Definitely more road feedback than the new limiteds but still better than the 07 AWD SEL we have now. And MUCH quieter. Still concerned about the winter driving but we'll see how it goes. I see Yokohama makes Prada SpecX for those which are great tires. (All season)
  11. We'll be keeping it because we get a companion to my other car which alread has Sirius. (I was lucky enough back in the early days to get a lifetime sub for $300 which qualifies for others to companion on it as well) I honestly don't listen to over the air radio anymore.
  12. I like to think of it that Ford has really upped their game to near luxury levels so that's why the gap has closed but I agree, an extra $7000 for the MKX seems a bit much for what you get. Just not sure how else to improve it to make up the price difference because the Edge is already so nice.
  13. The sales guy turned it on during our drive on accident, lol. I agree with the poster who said the leather is softer than the 07s... very much so. And along with that padding in touch areas is greatly improved!
  14. Agreed, but I still stand by my previous statement and include those buyers drawn to the Lincoln brand because of the MKX. Somehow those 22s on that Lincoln would look pretty silly. (And I REALLY like those rims)
  15. Just reporting back with info for others... indeed the leases on the 11s are pretty poor. Below are figures for the Limiteds: (Based on a 12k mile per year lease), Both rates are 4.25% through Ford Credit (to get the money factor for leasing divide by 2400) 27 month - residual of 64% 39 month - residual of 56% The Sport residual is 1% less and the rate is the same so it leases even worse. FYI for anyone who qualifies, A/Z plan pricing is about $4075 off MSRP for the limited we spec'd (quick order 1A plus BLISS, Towing Package and Red color with the upcharge) Hope that info helps someone.
  16. I hear what you're saying on competing with the Lincoln and agree except for 1 thing, I don't know ANY Lincoln buyers who would buy the Sport because of the 22s. They are a little flashy for your typical Lincoln buyer IMO. It is disappointing and may be a couple of the reasons why we stick with the Limited instead. Also, I believe it's been referred to as the "top of the line" Edge because it is in fact the most expensive version of the Edge available if equipped the same as the Limited.
  17. Can anyone tell me how to change the font/text size on the Sirius screen? The song titles typically get cut off because of other stuff (tagging feature GIANT button) in the way.
  18. Speaking of the bigger engine, how does it feel in day to day driving? I've read the AWD Sport is actually a half second slower to 60 than a FWD Limited and about the same FWD vs FWD due to weight increases and getting those 22s rolling. I'm hoping it shines when you're already moving and need to make some power from the 40-60mph range.
  19. Yeah, please don't misunderstand my post. I was just wondering if this was a known software glitch to be fixed or an actual issue with this 1 vehicle. I'm still getting an Edge, just not sure which model yet! Honestly, for me it's all about the service department being able and willing to address any needs that may come up. On a postivie note, I do have to say the interior is very much an upgrade from the already decent one of our 07 Edge. Softer materials and padding in touch areas are nice upgrades. Not to mention it's a tech person's dream!
  20. Test driving an AWD Sport tomorrow and will report back. Little nervous about those 22s in the snows of NE Ohio and REALLY don't want to get seperate snow shoes but we'll see it goes!
  21. The white/red/yellow inputs (RCA) are for the DVD Player which *should* work in park only according to their literature. It does not play from USB.
  22. For what it's worth, I believe the Sport is one of the first OEMs using Phillip's 3rd gen HIR2 bulb Also odd you can't get the Sport with the visor HomeLink setup like what's in the Limited.
  23. Does anyone have a source for dealer pricing on Ford extended warranties or WearCare (leasing) protection? Still working through lease vs buy and either of these items will come into play most likely. Thanks in advance!
  24. We were test driving a new Limited AWD today and noticed the backup camera would occassionally be blacked out/not work at random and at other times be fine. Is this a known bug or should this be a concern to check if we indeed decide to purchase that exact vehicle? If we put it into park then back into reverse it was fine. Maybe a loose connecter? Little concerning on a brand new $40K+ vehicle. Still working on that Sport vs Limited decision though.
