  1. Think they mean on the stick, since M is below D if you're used to D being at the bottom. (Rather than D at the bottom then left/right into manual mode like other vehicles)
  2. Picked up our new Sport today. So far there's a LOT to like. Having studied the forums intensely I can comment on a few things 1 day in: Still LOVE the styling. The ride with the 22s is as good or better than our 07 SEL with 18s and quieter inside the cabin except when you get on it. The Sync does lag in some spots but in others is instant. Wierd. The Nav constantly wanted to take back roads. Annoying and is hopefully a setting (though avoid expressway was already turned off) The voice commands take a little patience but are SLICK. The radio is very, very solid for factory and must be near deafening when up near half the 3/4 volume Fit and finish is nice. Interior over the 07 is nicely improved with soft materials in touch areas. USB music popped in and played immediately with all song info and pics. Only gripe is the bluetooth with our phones is JACKED up (see other thread). Connects and syncs fine but calls connect then sound like am radio thrown into an underwater blender. Not sure what's with that but hopefully it gets fixed, my wife was really looking forward to this as I use it in my car all the time to be hands free. Going to be a LOT of learning on this puppy!
  3. So we picked up our new 2011 Sport today and our phones (a Samsung Saga Windows Mobile 6.1) had no issues connecting and transferring address books, info, etc however if try to make or receive a call the sound is completely unusable to the point where it sounds like static am radio mixed with a blender (I'm not exagerating). The bluetooth signal strength is great and everything connects fine but calls both in and out are non functional. It dials but you can't hear a thing and neither can the other party. I tried this with both my and my wife's phone (same model) with the same result. My phone uses its bluetooth in my car (a Chrysler) all the time without static. Is this a known issue? Can't even venture what it is since the bluetooth connects, doesn't drop, reads data, dials and connects, receives calls but has unusable voice quality. I've tried moving the phone around in the car too with no change. Any ideas?
  4. I can appreciate your frustration having dealt with a lemon law case on a previous car (not Ford) but to say the above are dangerous is a stretch. Your phone doesn't work fast enough will cause an accident? Your NAV doesn't respond fast enough will cause an accident? Come on. Do I believe they need to be fixed? Of course. I'm hoping our new Edge doesn't have these issues and if it does it'll be at the dealer to be repaired or replaced but I wouldn't call the above dangerous. Lemon law claims perhaps if they aren't fixed, but that's about it in terms of legal action. A little perspective is a good thing.
  5. Mine was built early last week I believe and it has the updated sync code according to SyncMyRide.
  6. 2012 Edge's should be the same. The 11s are a mid cycle refresh which means you'll see an "all new" model in 2-3 years, market factors depending.
  7. The c/p function is due early 2011, btw. Can't believe they don't have functioning tethering, wow. (Not that Verizon gives it to me free anyway, despite an unlimited data plan... grrrrr)
  8. Ditto for us, picking up the Sport on Sat. No worries, just make sure it has the most recent Sync update before taking delivery and hope for the best!
  9. Will do! We pick up the Sport on Sat. so let's see if the F&I there is ready to deal
  10. Thanks for the referral, he called right back and his prices are very solid!!
  11. Yeah, I'm an idiot, just pressed 2 right away when I heard Ford instead of waiting a half a second...lol. Message left directly for Michael this am.
  12. If they were holding it due to Sync issues I'd expect ALL vehicles on the platform to be held. They've already updated the software on the line (though not sure if it was before or after your build date) but if was after they'd send a dealer notice instructing all dealers to update the software during dealer prep. Honestly not sure but I wish you the best of luck!
  13. Can't comment on the hit thing but I know ours was built ending last Monday (updated Sync installed that day) and delivered this week. (11 Sport) I'd lean more toward the dealer giving misinformation IMO.
  14. Appreciate it, thank you. I must have missed his direct name, I selected Ford and it dumped me into their general voicemail right away. I'll give it a shot again tomorrow.
  15. Thanks. Left one this past weekend and earlier this morning. (At the number you listed above) Hit the prompt for the Ford ESP and left a voicemail saying it was for Michael and all my info. Maybe he's out today?
  16. Might be, we have Z plan and it was a factory order.
  17. I'll be able to tell ya about Windows Mobile 6.x in a few days but not 7, sorry. Are you talking about audible texting or ??
  18. Ditto for ours. My wife was jazzed to see her name on the sticker I printed. Moreso when the call came in it's ready for pickup this week!!
  19. Wow, we ordered the middle of Oct and our Sport arrived this past weekend. The dealer we went through is pretty large so I dunno if that helps.
  20. Our Sport is in, and we're excited. Every car manuf. has issues. This is a new software setup so it'll have a few more. We're hoping v2 of the software helps but as long as Ford continues to address the issues it's all good IMO. Tough to beat this vehicle and all it does/includes IMO.
  21. Not if you have the numerical keypad on the door. LOVE that Ford does that, so handy.
  22. Good karma for you? :D Pay for your postage? Does the coupon have your name / address info on it to track it? How'd you get it if you don't mind me asking?
