The Car should have remote start, try starting the vehicle remotely and then trying the locks. Also try operating the locks with the key fob from INSIDE the car with the doors shut.

Often times, when you take your vehicle in for service, the technician will turn the headlight switch to off from automatic and not set it back. I see a lot of people around here driving at dusk without the headlights on with a car that clearly has the automatics.

My 2011 AWD exhibited the exact behavior you are describing, it was the PTU.

Up until 2016, all Edge models were built at that plant in canada, but not all models have a block warmer. I could be that all edge models SOLD in canada came with a block heater, I don't know. This thread talks about the block warmer in relation to the lower grill: Perhaps this will help.

On my 2011, I had about 115K on the front brakes when I told my shop to just replace them already, sold it at 154K with the second set on front. The back calipers went at about 85K

I recently traded my 1st owner '11 Edge Limited for a '19 ST, I can tell you that the power points behave differently between the 2. The '11 Power points did not turn off, I had an Escort radar detector that stayed plugged in at all times and would power itself down after some time but that was the detector, there was power to the port always. I also had a voltage readout in the lighter plug and a BT OBDII device always plugged in, These did not seem to make a noticeable impact on the battery. The '19 shuts off the power point after a few minutes.
