  1. I purchased the Ford Trigger TPMS tool below in 2011. Follow the regular key ignition instructions for push button ignition. Took me a while to figure this out but works like a charm. http://www.tirerack.com/accessories/detail.jsp?ID=170&affiliate=AD4 I do not believe programing is automatic for TPMS's. This year I did not program my snows and never had the warning light come on. I suspect one of two things. The car may remember 2 sets of tires after initial programing of the second set or more than likely, I kept the original tires in the garage this year and park in front of them every night. Last year I stored my tires elsewhere and it took about a week for the warnng light to come on.
  2. I found the opposite. Link and sync with the iphone 5 is trouble free...so far. Had some sync/connected issues prior to the update. Even have incoming text working now.
  3. Download to your hard drive then extract files to the USB stick. Upgraded mine without a hitch. Took about 40 minutes.
  4. 13 months for me....2 trips to the dealer only for my free oil changes....I'm happy!
  5. I have the Kona blue....love it! I was torn between blue and white. The Edge looks good in almost any color but too many white, black, silver and gray vehicles out there for me. Look around any parking lot! Be a little different.
  6. Sorry, having a hard time posting a pic. Maps are ver A3 US/Canada and all documentation is in English and French.
  7. Received the blue package with the update today I am in Toronto, Canada.
  8. Switch happened on the 2011's for Job 2. This was late Jan, early Feb of 2011.
  9. I have a 2011 Egde LTD and they are snaps.
  10. Purchase a 1x2' piece and cut out the three pieces yourself.....thats what I did. I wend with a brushed alinuminum. Blends in with the door trim and looks great.
  11. Thought I would share my experience with TPMS's on the 11 Edge. I purchased 4 Ford TMPS sensors and the programmer as SLYPX did for my winter tires/rims. I was originally going to go with after market TPMS's and have them cloned but the Ford OEM's came down to an almost justifiable price. I put Bilzzaks on 18" chrome OEM's. Drove for a week with no alterts then one morning it went off. Tried to use the programmer that evening but no go. I could not get the Edge in learn mode. Found in a mustang forum which indicated putting the car in run mode then cycling the hazzards 3 times puts in in learn mode. Tried it an it did and it did but it did not detect anything from the programmer. Went back to the tire place a few days later an they tried with thier programmer with no success. Turns out their programmer needs an upgrade as it only supported up to 2010 for the Edge. I believe they were band type TPMS in 2010 and earlier Edges. Was told I would have to go to the dealer to get them programmed. Decieded tonight to try the key (non push button start) directions for the programmer. Worked like a charm. Had them programmed in less that a minute. Turns out the instructions for push button start that tirerack has posted is incorrect, at least for the Edge. There are a lot of theories out there and on this board on how TPMS work. I can confidently tell you there is no auto learning or programming for the Edge. A second set of TPM's need to be programmed. Let me tell you, living with the TPMS malfunction message and chime everytime you start the car becomes irratating after a few days. Don't think I could do it for 4-5 months! Hope this helps someone out. This is a great site and others have provided some great info here.
  12. I have a similar noise occasionally coming from the right rear after the second brake at slow speeds. It almost sounds like the brake pads clunking in the caliper.
  13. Tires are DM V1's.... picked them up in April from Kijiji listing locally. Rims came from Vegas....eBay! Not sure if the SEL has the two screens around the speedo but driving with no TPMS would have an irritating warning every time you start up the Edge on the LTD. Cloned after market TPMS means no programming when swapping tires. Ford rims are plastic chrome so not too worried about rust.
  14. I purchased my 2011 Edge back in March from this dealer as well. I recieved free lifetime oil changes, no tire rotation. Of course they try to nail you for a $30 tire rotation when you bring it in. The coupons you receive are only valid every 6 months or 10K kl. May not intervels you are use to but I believe adequate for todays engines and oils. I have only been in once and had no issues, quick and pleasent experience....not what you may read or hear from some other!. This is a high volume dealership. Service department is extreemly busy and disorganized during regular hours. They are open until midnight 3 days a week so if you can, I would suggest regular maintenance appointments are made in the evenings, thats what I do and have done in the past.
