  1. The ones with factory NAV have one additional file package installed. I think its EA5T-14F657-AG.zip for Sync2 version 3.10
  2. Find a module from a 2011-2014 Edge or 2011 to 2016 Explorer as I know they had Sync 2. Your SEL has nav so you need one with NAV otherwise you'll have to patch it with the navpatch to get the license on it. Try a junk yard otherwise your into a few hundred bucks at least. You will need to program it if the replacement has different options than your car. If you can find something from a 2011-2014 Edge SEL you may not need any tweaking at all. My replacement came from a Lincolnn MKX so I had to reprogram to get rid of the heated/cool seats, steering wheel etc. If you look on car-part.com its listed under TV Screen or GPS Screen. If you DM me your zipcode I can help you find a replacement.
  3. One more follow up. I was able to find the factory 3.10 upgrade with and without NAV as the installers are slightly different. I've updated my module to 3.10 and I had factory NAV. Based on my research any sync 2 module would work but it would need to be programmed with forscan for the particular car. As built data can be pulled in direct from motorcraft through forscan.
  4. I ended up finding a module for 80 CAD at a local wrecker. It was out of a 2013 MKX. I flashed it with as built using forscan and i'm back in business!
  5. I've had a 2011 Edge LTD with the Sony system in it since Summer 2011 and Sync has always been mediocre at best. I flashed it with 3.10 a year or two back which improved things but the last 6 months it has just been dying randomly for no reason. Usually it comes back a day or two later and all is well but this time it died and wont come back. I pulled the battery cable overnight with no success. I'm not sure if its the screen or module that tanked. I have access to forscan but haven't gone out yet to see if it sees the module. I checked the fuse and its fine. Does anyone have any forscan tips? I'm game to piece together sync 3 for it should my module be gone but I don't want to throw away good money either. Any help would be appreciated.
  6. The ride is softer than the old 245s but I rode those down to the wear bars.. They fill out the wheel wells better and provide more protection to the rims.
  7. Just got hit with P0451 last week... Anyone have any luck figuring out what the problem was? I see someone replaced a hose with the tank sensor in it but that baby is $375 CDN..... Ouch
  8. I'm alittle confused. You are mentioning trans fluid leaks but say they told you to replace your a/c condenser? Are you looking for O-rings for the trans cooler lines?
  9. I've been hunting for new rubber for awhile now and deals on 245/50R20 which is factory sizing on the 2011 Edge are non existent so I figured why not fill out the fender wells alittle more. Today I had 265/50R20 installed on the factory 20x8 wheels and it looks much better. I've read some say 8" is too narrow but I now daimler uses 265/50R20 on 20x8 for the grand cherokee and durango. I scored a great deal on brand new Pirelli scorpion verde all season from kijiji.
  10. Yeah I think your right. I’m going to finish putting it back together in the AM. Now to decide 245/50/20 or 255/50/20 for new rubber.
  11. So my 11 Edge was in need of struts and the lower BJ boots were toast so I figured why not press in some new BJs. The old ones pressed out and some new Moog joints pressed in without issue however the snap ring that came with the new ball joints won't snap on as the groove is too low in the ball joint. Now the factory ball joints had no snap ring and replacement arms don't come with snap rings either. I'm thinking they should be fine without. It took alot of force to press them in. The press in from the bottom up so the weight of the car would always be forcing downward on them anyhow. Thoughts?
  12. Does anyone off hand know what the impedance is of the DVC factory subwoofer? I may just pop it out and test it but this would save a bunch of work. I have a feeling each voice coil is 1 or 2 ohm...
  13. Did you remove the screw in the back of the subwoofer? If you turn it over there is a screw in the back of the enclosure that secures it to the magnet of the subwoofer.
  14. I updated my 2011 edge to 3.08 and then to 3.10 the other day. The zip file you get should extract to a USB key with two files and a folder with a bunch of other compressed files. When you plug it into the USB port it will start the update right away.
  15. I've gone through and searched with no clear answer to my question so I'm posting. I've been looking into adding remote access to my 2011 edge with PTS and factory remote start. It looks like for sure I need the remote access kit DL3Z-19A390-C however its unclear if I need VSS DT4Z-19A361-A. It appears as though there are 2 versions of the kit. One installs the VSS/RMT behind the OBDII port and the other installs the VSS/RMT in the left rear corner using the TPM connector. I looked up the instructions for the RA kit and it shows the RMT/VSS as part of the kit with it tying into the TPM harness and then the RMU plugs into that. Which kit is the current version that is ordered from the dealer? One dealer I called had no idea and the other hasn't gotten back to me yet. Anyone have any ideas?
