  1. go to syncmyride.com and download the status checker and follow the directions.
  2. Never had a problem with the non favorite phone. Have you ruled out a phone problem.
  3. Which version? Which vehicle (year)?
  4. Don't see how that's a security issue........I don't think it gives you access inside the door.
  5. Try doing a health report and see if it shows up on SMR.
  6. I thought this was the problem downloading the update - got it confused with a similar exfat post on another forum. Could be a combination of the filesystem driver and what's actually on the filesystem and where - if that's the case changing either one could cause problems randomly. My point was if you can reproduce it with Fat32 then you can take that out of the equation.
  7. Try fat32. The new version might not be compatible with exfat.
  8. Try Fat32 as Dingo suggested. It's possible the new version doesn't like exFAT.
  9. Yes, you have to turn notifications back on after re-pairing your phone (in the bluetooth->Sync connection information on the phone).
  10. I thought that was done through Sirius. At least you get the app and unlimited operator assist for the extra $140.
  11. What $199 charge are you referring to from Ford/Lincoln for sync services?
  12. Using it without BT doesn't prove anything about it messing up with BT - could be a problem with the BT driver in the phone that's interacting with Pandora. And the other bullets don't address specifically using YOUR phone and Pandora with another BT device. When you're troubleshooting you try to keep everything the same and only change one thing at a time. If the problem is in the phone/BT then using it with another BT device should produce the same problem. OTOH if it's MFT then it should work fine with another BT device. The fact that it works fine with a different phone is a strong indication the problem is in your phone somewhere especially if the phones are the same. These types of problems are always hard to troubleshoot.
  13. It's hard to do it right consistently on lighter colors. Most people I've seen who had the dealer repaint were completely satisfied with the results and the mfrs don't seem to have a problem doing it under warranty.
  14. Sorry, totally missed that. I thought this was separate from sync services. In that case I guess the only difference is it's more convenient to use your phone if you're out and about.
  15. Because it costs way more than that to keep Sirius service and sync services.
  16. Sounds like the phone based on number 3 & 4. Maybe the pandora app doesn't like BT on your phone. Can you try it with another BT device? Do you have the latest phone software?
  17. I think we can all agree with you there. And on that note let's just let this one go. No point in further arguing.
  18. I don't think anyone does free updates for built-in automotive GPS maps. The ones I know about all seem to be $200. If you're only talking about portable GPS then that's true.
  19. The other upgrades required a new card because the format of the map files changed. As long as the format doesn't change you won't need a new card.
  20. I didn't remove the Nav sd card nor are there instructions to do so. Worked fine.
  21. I don't use it but someone else said it no longer worked.
