  1. No but Cooper is a good brand.
  2. It opens with one touch to "comfort" which yields the best performance at higher speeds. You have to hold it to open it all the way. Opening it all the way is not recommended for highway speeds as it usually causes buffeting.
  3. I can't believe that site is still around. Not much activity lately though.
  4. 3 forums - 3 different IDs? NIKAL? Cobra05? cobra71? Do you work for Witt Lincoln?
  5. Only Ford knows the correct pressure. It has nothing to do with the tire mfr - they only know the maximum pressure (which is already on the sidewall).
  6. I was joking about the paint thinner but have you used any type of harsh cleaner other than soap and water?
  7. Unless it was cleaned with paint thinner.......
  8. They're clearcoated - that's probably what's peeling. A good paint shop can re-clearcoat.
  9. Is it still under warranty?
  10. Nobody pays to use the satellite GPS signal - it's free. You buy the hardware and it works. You may have to pay for new maps occasionally. Maybe you're confusing it with satellite radio (Sirius). That's a totally different signal on different satellites and you do have to pay for that subscription.
  11. It uses GPS satellites to tell exactly where you are in 3 dimensions then overlays it on a stored map. Google GPS and it will explain how it works.
  12. If the procedure doesn't work you may have to take it to the dealer. In that case they shouldn't charge you if the manual was wrong. But double check the procedure and don't wait too long between steps.
  13. Limp home would still allow it to be drived. The OP said there is no throttle response at all. And turning the vehicle off and back on fixes it immediately. That's exactly the same symptom as the throttle body issue. It may not be that but it seems to fit better than a limp home mode.
  14. It's in the owner's manual. When the dealer reprograms it they wipe out the old keys and put in the new ones that they have which is why the old one no longer works.
  15. Yep. It uses the A/C to dehumidify the air until the temp approaches freezing.
  16. As long as it's a reputable company I wouldn't be too concerned with leaks or shoddy quality. The procedure itself isn't that difficult. Just check the quality of parts used and the fit and finish on the interior. I know a local dealer who never orders a moonroof stock and has them added by a local company. The biggest downside is it won't be integrated into the other car controls (global open, etc.)
  17. Does the display change as if it's in S/manual mode? If so it's the shifter.
  18. Just make sure you don't put armor-all on the tire treads like this idiot..... http://my.is/forums/f87/crashed-my-baby-147582/
  19. Only 2 reasons to replace rotors - they've been turned more than once and are too thin to be turned again or they're badly scored which would usually be caused by the pads.

    Turn in man card?

What does "stop-and-go" have to do with highway driving? Of course you're getting 23 mpg in stop-n-go highway traffic. If you get 23 at a steady state 65 mph on flat roads then something is wrong. And what does fuel tank capacity have to do with mpg? I never get less than 20 mpg even in city type driving with lots of traffic and red lights. And I can easily get 33 mpg on the highway if I drive 55 on flat roads. You can't just drive any way you want and expect to get the EPA ratings.

    Turn in man card?

I have the 19" wheels and I get 30-32 on the highway depending on speed. If you're getting 23 (steady state) driving 65 or slower then something is seriously wrong.
  22. You don't need to remove the SD card. MFT = My Ford Touch.

    Turn in man card?

The Hybrid is only about a $2500 upgrade and the payback may only be 3 or 4 years. It's not as bad as it used to be and the 2013 Fusion (hybrid or not) is fantastic.
