That is correct and how they are designed. Some of us are talking in addition to the vehicles built in DRL's. reduced power headlights or turn signals if the vehicle has HID headlights

Rusty I was just going to say the same thing. And thank you Wizard. Ill hook them up as per the instructions. Just waiting a week or 2 for when my Edge goes in for service and the dealer activates my DRL's (factory)

Not to answer my own question but that may not dim them to the desired 70% with headlights on

Wizard IF you were to wire them to Fords Factory activated DRL's could that be done without the use of the ignition relay the new Edge 2 comes with. In my case the turn signal bulbs

Hey Taz I had a 2011 Edge and the dealer did in fact turn on my DRL's. I have or had HID headlights so the turn signal bulbs were the DRL's. I picked up my 2013 a couple of weeks ago and at my first service they will turn those on I'm in NY on Long Island

The only way I think Ford could or would have this option (Of allowing the light pipe to act as DRL's) is to have them along with the turn signals included as well. The light pipe as it is from Ford would not meet the requirement of DRL in my opinion It would still work for me however

Just wanted to see just where you had wire tied the relay itself. Also you may have mentioned it but does your car have HID's with factory DRL's?. Seems to be a little difference in wiring from what I've read Thanks

Hello all I returned my 2011 Edge with Nav for a 2013 Edge. I can't seem to find what setting needs to be turned on to show live traffic on the screen. What am I missing?? Thanks

Typically anything on the drivers side is the Left side. I guess because you see them standing in front of the car it is marked the opposite. If you were to tell a mechanic of an issue with your wheel on the drivers side of the car (or truck) it would be the vehicles LEFT side. Too many years in the trucking business so don't confuse me now

USPS wrongly shipped mine to a PO 20 miles from my house. The tracking says "missend" but then goes on to say "Out for delivery" My postman came 30 min ago without them so I'm curious if they are still coming today

DRL's will not activate in Park mode and or P brake applied -
I have had the DRL's switched on by the dealer for my 2011 Edge (USA). The light accent strip does NOT work with the DRL settings. DRL's are only the parking / turn signals on at full brightness (what the turn signals use)
