  1. Thanks a lot! Really appreciate it. Ed
  2. NIKAL, The protector your picture shows for the 2010 Scion Xb, would that really fit a 2007 Edge? Thanks, Ed
  3. From the horse's mouth (Pioneer): This model does not do RDS. That is incredible. A box that they sell for close to $1000 and it does not support RDS. Every cheap car radio does that.
  4. Thanks for bearing with me. I downloaded the supplement. There are screen shots, true. But not the screens that I see on my display, they are totally different. My navi system seems to be different. Sorry for the hassle, Ed
  5. I'm sorry, I hate to be a nuisance but I can't find it I can switch the radio bands, set FM channels but nowhere do I see an "Options" or RDS display. Thanks, Ed.
  6. Great, thanks. Pardon my ignorance, but I checked the menu and I checked the manual but I could not find this setting anywhere. Could you please be a bit more specific? Ed
  7. Hi, I was wondering if my 2007 Edge touch screen display could show song titles and artist name? I remember my 2004 Escape could do that with a relatively simple radio. Thanks, Ed
  8. Well, the Texas heat may have played a role in summer but currently we don't have any heat at all and the mileage numbers have not changed much. Increasing the tire pressure from 34 to 38 psi has raised the mpg number by 0.3 points.
  9. Which screen are you talking about? Never mind, found it. Thanks
  10. The average speed display is somewhat confusing. Is there a starting point to calculate the average speed or does the calculation span the lifetime of the car? Is it possible to reset this display and start at a certain point? For example, if I enter a freeway and drive there for several hours or so and the display can be set to zero at the start, shouldn't it display the average highway speed along with the respective mpg figure and not take all the stops and slow speed before the highway entry into account? Thanks, Ed
  11. Thanks for the quick response. How do I get this filter out? Take the glove box out?
  12. Hi, I have the impression that the airflow from the interior outlets is kind of weak. Is there some air container kind of thing inside the engine compartment that need to be cleaned out to increase the airflow? Thanks, Ed
  13. Hi, I had to remove the left storage bin (next to the spare tire) on my 07 Edge SEL. In the left cubbyhole I noticed a connector closed with a cap and I was wondering if this is a pre-wiring for a trailer or maybe a rear-view camera? It has 3 each yellow, gray and purple wires plus a black wire and a ground wire connected to it. Can anyone tell me what the deal here is? Thanks, Ed
  14. OK, thanks for the explanation, makes sense.
  15. My 2007 edge never gets past 20.2 mpg on the highway, no matter how careful I use the gas pedal. I think that number of 26 mpg highway is just baloney! Btw, what is this "average MPH" thing? My wife saw something like 33 MPH the other day and didn't really understand what that meant. Neither do I. Can some offer an explanation? Thanks, Ed
  16. Well, thanks for the quick response. I don't think aftermarket parts would describe their particular spray pattern. Probably have to go with the originals.
  17. Guys, I need to replace the windshield washer nozzles. Do I need to use original Ford nozzles (probably cost a small fortune) or can I install aftermarket parts? Thanks, Ed
  18. Can the Alldata online manual be downloaded?
  19. Before I spend the money for a camera I'd like to find out whether or not my factory nav system has a rear connector for it. However, so far I haven't figured out a way to remove the nav unit from the dash. Can someone provide some advice on that? Thanks, Ed
  20. Hi, Can someone tell me how to uninstall the nav screen in a 2007 Edge without breaking things? Thanks, Ed
  21. That is a very detailed description of the process, thanks a lot! As to the camera location, you are right, the 2007 Edge has the hatch button inside the trim panel, so that location is probably not good. I'm leaning towards a flush-mounted camera on the rear bumper. Again, thanks a bunch! Ed
  22. I just want to add a rear-view camera to my 2007 Pioneer system, that's all. Shouldn't a decent camera and some wires do the trick? Ed
