  1. So, you just sprayed from the under site without removing the seat cushion? Doesn't that stuff drip all over the carpet for days and smell awful?
  2. Holy Moly, Looks like this is not a diy job. Thanks anyway. Ed
  3. Can someone tell me how to remove the driver seat cushion of a 2009 Edge without damaging it? I need to grease the power seat hardware. Thanks, Ed
  4. Is has been working, intermittently, for a few days. I noticed a grinding noise when I move the seat up or down and sometimes it seems to be stuck. When I wiggle a bit, it start moving again. I'm wondering if I could take that seat out and check/grease the mechanics? Is that a big deal? Ed
  5. Went through this procedure several times, no dice. Memory is lost over night. Same with my wife's setting.
  6. Hi, I have a brand new, never used spray can and a paint stick (both DupliColor, G2 red) lying around that I don't need anymore. Anybody interested? Yours for the shipping. I'm located in Wimberley, TX. Ed
  7. How does it compare to more modern units? I did some searching and they are available (used) in the $300 range. New units cost less with similar features.
  8. Well, I have this little "Sync by Microsoft" decal in front of the gearshift and my current head unit (the one wit the 6-CD changer) recognizes the cell phone. So is the unit in the picture pre-sync or not? Thanks, Ed
  9. Can someone point me to a place where I can read about how to remove that panel where the subwoofer is located? Thanks, Ed
  10. I hear white noise from the subwoofer so I guess the fuse is OK.
  11. That's one useless website. Thanks anyway.
  12. Thanks for the fast reply. So, if one wanted sync this unit would not be a choice, right?
  13. Makes sense. Would it be installed somewhere in the dash or close to the sub woofer location?
  14. Just wondering: is the sub woofer amp integrated into the head unit or is there a separate amp installed somewhere in the vehicle?
  15. OK, just did that. Let's see what happens tomorrow morning. Thanks, Ed
  16. 2009 Edge Ltd, the memory seat seems to lose its memory. I have to push the button in the door when the car parks over night. However, once I drive around, the seat works every time when I put the key into the ignition, just not over night. Any ideas? Thanks, Ed
  17. I spayed the lock and, at the moment, it seems to stay closed. I noticed that the lid is not flush with the dash, it sticks out about 1/8 of an inch at the top and sides.
  18. Hi, Can someone tell me if the head unit in the attached picture is an original Ford unit? I'd like to find some details/images. Thanks, Ed
  19. I did the check and, lo and behold, the sub woofer/amp is dead as a door nail. I tried to remove the grille but it seems that I have to take off the entire side panel in the cargo area. Before I spend hundreds of dollars to have the head unit repaired I'd rather buy a new one, which I had planned anyway. I just haven't found the one I'm looking for, there are too many in the marketplace. Again, thanks for all your input. Ed
  20. OK, didn't know that. I'll go through the procedure and report back. Thanks a bunch, Ed
