  1. Hi, I have a brand new, never used spray can and a paint stick (both DupliColor, G2 red) lying around that I don't need anymore. Anybody interested? Yours for the shipping. I'm located in Wimberley, TX. Ed
  2. How does it compare to more modern units? I did some searching and they are available (used) in the $300 range. New units cost less with similar features.
  3. Well, I have this little "Sync by Microsoft" decal in front of the gearshift and my current head unit (the one wit the 6-CD changer) recognizes the cell phone. So is the unit in the picture pre-sync or not? Thanks, Ed
  4. Can someone point me to a place where I can read about how to remove that panel where the subwoofer is located? Thanks, Ed
  5. I hear white noise from the subwoofer so I guess the fuse is OK.
  6. That's one useless website. Thanks anyway.
  7. Thanks for the fast reply. So, if one wanted sync this unit would not be a choice, right?
  8. Makes sense. Would it be installed somewhere in the dash or close to the sub woofer location?
  9. Just wondering: is the sub woofer amp integrated into the head unit or is there a separate amp installed somewhere in the vehicle?
  10. OK, just did that. Let's see what happens tomorrow morning. Thanks, Ed
  11. 2009 Edge Ltd, the memory seat seems to lose its memory. I have to push the button in the door when the car parks over night. However, once I drive around, the seat works every time when I put the key into the ignition, just not over night. Any ideas? Thanks, Ed
  12. I spayed the lock and, at the moment, it seems to stay closed. I noticed that the lid is not flush with the dash, it sticks out about 1/8 of an inch at the top and sides.
  13. Hi, Can someone tell me if the head unit in the attached picture is an original Ford unit? I'd like to find some details/images. Thanks, Ed
  14. I did the check and, lo and behold, the sub woofer/amp is dead as a door nail. I tried to remove the grille but it seems that I have to take off the entire side panel in the cargo area. Before I spend hundreds of dollars to have the head unit repaired I'd rather buy a new one, which I had planned anyway. I just haven't found the one I'm looking for, there are too many in the marketplace. Again, thanks for all your input. Ed
  15. OK, didn't know that. I'll go through the procedure and report back. Thanks a bunch, Ed
  16. Wow, that's quite a response, I'll have to read it several times just to understand it. Does this procedure apply to my head unit at all? It's the factory one with the 6 CD changer.
  17. Well, there is noise as I said but I will check if there's a speaker. Is it difficult to remove the grill without breaking it? Maybe you're right and the amp is bad. I am in the process of finding a new head unit (that's why I was asking about the sub woofer) but that's not as easy as it sounds.
  18. Yes, I'm getting a sound there but it's more or less white noise.
  19. Found that grille As to your notes, it seems hard to believe but I guess you are right. Businesses try to take people to the cleaners whenever they can.
  20. Silly question, where's that sub-woofer grill? As to printing out a copy of the 2009 window sticker, I doubt that my Ford dealership can do that. I don't have much confidence in anything they're doing.
  21. Hi, Is there any way to find out if my 2009 LTD has a factory installed sub woofer without removing the head unit? Thanks, Ed
  22. I'll spray the lock and see what happens. Thanks, Ed
