Something like that. I had a Ford deflector on my 2007 Edge that was installed like that. I don't want to tape it directly to the hood.

Hi, I'm searching for a bug deflector for my 2009 Edge. I only found those that are taped directly to the hood but I want one that has a 2" or so gap between the plastic and the metal. Anyone have a suggestion? Thanks, Ed

Yeah, They're kind of rubber bumpers. I thought they were part of the deflector package. Apparently not.

I noticed that the bug deflector on my 2007 Edge was rattling and it turned out that several of the rubber cone standoffs were missing. I did an Internet search but could not find any replacements. Are these things even available or are they only part of a new deflector? Thanks, Ed

I got a similar letter about availability next year, I believe it when I see it. Them asking that nobody uses the passenger seat for almost 2 years is beyond laughable. I guess the occasional law suit because of bodily harm or death is cheaper than making a real effort to help their customers. Ed

Hi, I just was about to replace a bulb in my 2007 Edge taillight when I noticed that the brake light socket was halfway melted. Checked the other side, same thing. Is that normal wear and tear? Thanks, Ed

Hi, My wife complains about the poor visibility at night. She has asked me to replace the light bulbs with better ones. Can someone recommend which ones to use? I don't want to go overboard with LED bulbs, etc. Would just replacing the stock bulbs with more powerful ones (without overloading the wiring and or the power source) be sufficient? The current ones seem to be the original bulbs (221 k miles). Maybe they're kind of worn out. Thanks for any advice. Ed

Well, if something happens with my wife's car, Ford will look at a nice lawsuit.

Lucky Guy! My wife is in Real Estate and she frequently has to drive clients around (I understand the passenger airbag is the culprit). Is Ford taking responsibility if something serious happens? I think not but they might look at another very expensive lawsuit.

Is Takata the only airbag manufacturer in the world? This issue has been going on so long, there was plenty of time to find several replacement manufacturers if Ford would care about the life of their customers. Heck, they could've started their own manufacturing in one of their plants.

Hi, One year ago (July 2016) I received a letter from Ford about the airbag recall for my 2007 Edge. Since then I haven'd heard a beep from them and the guys at the Ford dealership I purchased the car from only shrug their shoulders. Is there any way to find out what in the world is going on here?
