Hi, The front bumper of my 2009 Edge has a slight ding. A body shop wanted $1000 to fix it, way too much. I bought the paint and clear coat paint and I'd like to do it myself. Someone told me that the bumper plastic has a memory. If I'd heat with a hair dryer, it would pop back into its original shape. Another guy said that a "normal" hair dryer wouldn't get hot enough, I'd need a heat gun but then the paint would melt. Does anyone have any experience with that?

I used to own a 2007 Edge with the DVD player in the roof. The car is totaled and the only thing I have left is the DVD remote and the 2 infrared headphones, never used. Anyone interested? Ed Wimberley, TX

What about spraying the connectors inadvertently? Would that screw up the electrics under the seat?

I have finally figured out why the memory seat doesn't work overnight but during the day. The difference is the key lock/unlock feature. We never lock the car overnight so we never have to unlock it in the morning. Unlocking is required to "identify" the key.

So, you just sprayed from the under site without removing the seat cushion? Doesn't that stuff drip all over the carpet for days and smell awful?

Can someone tell me how to remove the driver seat cushion of a 2009 Edge without damaging it? I need to grease the power seat hardware. Thanks, Ed

Nice video! How do I get the seat cover off?

Is has been working, intermittently, for a few days. I noticed a grinding noise when I move the seat up or down and sometimes it seems to be stuck. When I wiggle a bit, it start moving again. I'm wondering if I could take that seat out and check/grease the mechanics? Is that a big deal? Ed

How does it compare to more modern units? I did some searching and they are available (used) in the $300 range. New units cost less with similar features.

Well, I have this little "Sync by Microsoft" decal in front of the gearshift and my current head unit (the one wit the 6-CD changer) recognizes the cell phone. So is the unit in the picture pre-sync or not? Thanks, Ed
