That's crazy that there are so few limiteds with 18" wheels around. I would say my dealer has roughly 100-150 Edges New edges on their lot and maybe 3-4 I saw had the 20" on them. Almost all of the limiteds near me have the 18" wheels. I was at the dealer today walking around the lot waiting for them to fix my edge looking at the new ones. There were more of the edges with the appearance package and the black rims than there were 20" from what I saw. I wish they would have had the two tone seats as well when I bought mine, I might have jumped on a 2013 without the ecoboost. The 2013 were out when I got mine but no 2013 ecoboost and none had the two tone leather seats.

unfortunately I put to many miles on my vehicles to lease them, I average 30k miles a year and one year actually did 58k miles on a car. I really don't want to see what the lease plan would look like or see the bill for the over mileage either. The end of next month will be one year with my Edge and it is at 16k right now, and I didn't really drive it until June.

Which bumper protector did you order exactly? There are quite a few of them out for the XB

What do you want to place there? I removed mine to install a bass knob, but it is installed to the right of the headlight switches, so it is out of the way. I don't remember much being under there but I didn't pay attention as that was not the spot I was doing anything in.

the Sony upgrade is not standard or at least wasn't standard in the limiteds when I was looking at them. I have the sync MFT system in mine with the backup camera, so there was no difference between the two. Like I said also I have the ambient light package(never use it) and I don not have the aluminum will plates, but they can be had fairly cheap if I wanted them. I did upgrade my stereo and planned on it anyways, it blows the doors off the Sony system any day in quality sound and volume. I used JL Audio for everything in my Edge. Got C5 components for the front doors, C2 6x8 for the rear doors, JL Stealthbox with upgraded 10W6 all ran off of a JL audio 900/5 amp. All wiring was upgraded of course.

Candurin, do you have the morimoto? I got mine today and there are no instructions, but that is ok. My problem is there is an extra plug by itself. No clue what it goes to, it has a black wire and an orange wire and are both cut at one end. It doesn't seem to go to any other part of the light set up.

Yea it's any service except for new tires. I got the ignot silver with black leather and an Ecoboost engine. I looked at the limiteds with an Ecoboost but hated the faux wood inside. I wish it looked more like the F-150 Lariats faux wood. They did a better job with that for some reason. I also bought a 2013 SHO, the top of the line model and guess what it has the same carbon fiber trim in it as my 2012 SEL. It wouldn't look right with the faux wood anyways. I believe the only thing the limited has over mine are the memory seats, power lift gate and the faux wood and some chrome trim around the windows and on the rear hatch. Other than that I couldn't find any other differences. A limited like mine was going for 41k if I remember correctly. I have a package on mine I can't remember the number, but its the 20" chrome, ambient lighting and roof rail package.

I don't think it's odd that the cars has been there for 70 days. I wouldn't buy it, I would buy a brand new 2013 for that money. My window sticker had my edge at 38,000. I walked out paying 30,000 and even got a complete 100,000 mile warranty on everything except the leather, rims and tires. Also had a 2 year service plan included, they will cover all oil changes no matter the mileage on the Edfe for 2 years and any service it needs. Including windshield wipers which I thought was odd but a cool extra.

I passed on the sport because of the mileage, but I wanted an SUV with decent mileage so I got the ecoboost. I really wish they offered the ecoboost with the sport trim or at least offered the 3.5EB in a sport package, then I would have went for it.

they wouldn't be lighter by any means from each other, they are both however lighter than a steel wheel of the same size for the same vehicle. It would need to meet the needs of the vehicle, a truck would obviously need a larger stronger wheel than a fiesta would.

sorry Dingo this another spot you are wrong in, yes in the older days the did chrome dip steel, but today's modern vehicles are aluminum rims that are chrome plated on the front. Then you have the chrome clad that are aluminum rims as well with plastic chrome covers. If you would really like to bet on this we could, I would win this bet everyday, all day. Just take a trip to your local scrap yard and ask them about the rims or any rim shop and they will tell you. You really post a lot on here and some of your posts are truthful, but a lot are misleading and full of false information. I suggest you do your research before commenting on certain threads.

The 18" will be a smoother ride every time. I have the stock 20" and I can feel the ride difference every time they give me a loaner with 18". It's very simple to figure out as you go up in rim size you go down in sidewall height on the tire. The 18" rim And tire combo will have the same diameter as the 20" and 22" package. Once that side wall gets smaller it gets thicker and stiffer. Which results in a rougher ride. As for road noise from the tires, that can vary greatly from manufacture and tread patterns. It is possible for a 22" tire to be quieter than the 18"

Have you looked into the Verde Kaos rims? They look really nice and run a little less.

I don't really see Ford changing the Edge for 2014, the profit margin from the 2011-13 refresh just seems small. Most companies run at least 4 years on a refresh to get a better profit on the redesign. But who knows, and for the 2.0 EB compared to the 3.5EB, I have both motors one in my edge the other in my 2013 SHO. There is a vast difference in power obviously, but there is no raspiness in the 2.0 and it is actually a great engine. I think it is a little small for the Edge, but it wasn't designed to do what the 3.5 does. It does however do the job it was designed to do fairly well.

My front one always seems to stick to cups and cans, the rear one doesn't ever come out. Are the majority of them the front ones getting lost? I lost one and found it the next day in the drive way after I backed out. The dealer did throw one in for free though, so I do have a spare.

I have an ecoboost but never paid attention to it. I'm not even sure there is a step on mine, I will have to check it out in the day light tomorrow.

Dingo you're special, and you did say it plays the lower frequencies. Also yes they would be out of phase, which is not the same as polarity. If it was it wou,d be called polarity. Phase means all the speakers will fire at the same time with no delay from speaker to speaker. It is I possible for all three of those subs to fire in phase because they are running off of two different amps. This wouldn't be a problem if they weren't all subs. Say one amp running subs and one running highs or mids. But since there are two different amps running two different sized subs then yes they will not fire in phase. Also I can see where your maturatiy level is because you have to try and insult me and my father, which you have failed miserably at. Keep this thread on topic and stop trying to bring my family and hurling insults at me. I didn't insult you, yet you feel the need to stoop to that level to try and make yourself look better. Oh and I forgot to add when you called me a fanboy yet you know nothing of my other systems or past systems and what companies are involved. You are wrong about the entire thing running 10"s and 12"s together. You might think it sounds good, but my neighbor thinks he's a good driver and he totaled 3 cars last year.

no one is regurgitating anything, if you are a certified "master installer" then you would know his setup is wrong no matter what you do to it and it is out of phase. Also the Edge is JL Audio due to the Stealthbox and my buddy owning a shop so I got the stuff at wholesale. My 2003 Cobra is all Alpine and my 2103 SHO will be something different all together. So take that fanboy crap and shove it were the sun doesn't shine. I wouldn't take any audio advice from you let alone let you install something in my car, just from you saying a 10 that fits in the stock location will hit lower than a 12". Like I said the only avaliable 10" capable of hitting those lows is the JL W6, that's not fanboy crap that's the truth, I can't help it if you don't know your subs or your stuff ok "master installer" bye.

i think you are wasting your time, I use my Edge for going out on the town and running errands and it looks good doing it. If I want to go fast I also have an 03 Cobra and a 2013 SHO. Those cars were meant to go fast not the Edge. Save your money and throw it into that Cobra.

one quantity is good for your Edge, it has both lights in it.

Just ordered my Morimotos today, I have the Led puddle lights coming from daytime bright lites as well. I was looking at my 2013 SHO tonight and noticed the LED lights are much brighter on it than the Edge.

I'm surprised there is no light in the glovebox, well at least not in my Edge.

I see no replies, but here is an update. The truck is still in the shop and will be there tomorrow as well. They said the shifter light bulb socket melted. Hmmmm
