  1. I've driven about 2K miles on these NIttos and I like them a lot. They seem to have a nice product.
  2. So for future reference. I purchased new tires when my stock tires wore out at 50K. I bought these Nittos. I've been very happy with another set of Nittos on a sports car so I took the plunge. http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/tires/nitto/vehicle/viewProductDetail.do?ra=%2Ftires%2Fnitto%2Fvehicle%2FviewProductResults&v=019887%7C2011&r=GAUINT%7Cpc%7C30809&yr=2011&pc=40561&ar=40&rd=22&vid=019887&cs=265 Very nice riding tires. Often used on the larger Yukons and F150s. They also have a 2337 lb load rating. Spoke with a neighbor who works for Ford, we were talking about towing. He looked at my boat (2728lbs on its trailer) and told me outright, your Edge will putl that no problem. I questioned suspension, he told me I have a higher spring rate to begin with. I questioned the gearing, he told me the Sport has a 3.39 ratio which is actually better for towing since its taller. We talked about tires, he pointed out the weight rating to me. I questioned the lack of a trans cooler, he told me to add one. So today we took the hilly drive to the lake with the boat. Pulled like no ones business. Up hills, out of the boat ramp, unbelievable.
  3. Had that happen in my 2008, dealer replaced it. light bulb went out a month later and it was like it was never changed.
  4. I use the paddle shifters, you can use the buttons on the side of your gear shift.
  5. I have a Yamaha AR190 which I plan to move soon (empty-No gas) which weighs 2728lbs on galvanized trailer. Wonder if anyone has thoughs or experience with slightly lighter or heavier tows.
  6. I have the same exact question. Yamaha AR190.
  7. Dont forget that Ford uses a stiffer spring on the the Sport suspension. This helps with all the extra weight these wheels push upon rebound. Your ride comfort may suffer a little. Figure on dropping 2-3MPG from 18's. Thats what I gained riding on 18's.
  8. Looks great. How do the auctions work Ive always been interested.
  9. Sadly I've had my own problems with our Fords. We purchased 2 new vehicles when they weren't exactly flying out of showrooms (Winter 2010, spring 2011). An overloaded 2011 Edge Sport, and a Custom ordered 2011 Ford Explorer. The Explorer began leaking so bady after only one year that the interior carpets began to develop mold. The dealer had taken the vehicle in a staggering 12 times and had it for over 143 total days! it was finally Lemon Lawed with a huge hit for usage during the time it didn't leak. At the same time, Ive had an ongoing problem with my 22" wheels on my Sport losing pressure regularly. Ive reported the problem so many times and left the vehicle at the dealer so much it also qualifies for New Jerseys Lemon law, except that i really Like my Sport. I was given an extended warranty for all my trouble, but the dealer simply refuses to do what the TSB clearly states to fix the problem (Replace the rims) They've sanded the rubber nubs off the tires, they've sanded off the oxidation they keep finding on the inside of the wheel, yet they refuse to replace the leaking wheels. The dealer actually had my vehicle for approx. three weeks at the end of the year and did nothing. They cant even provide me with a service sheet because they never worked on the vehicle. As much as I like my Edge (and even though in the beginning I helped my dealership sell many Explorers and Edges) I simply don't recommend Ford anymore. I actively steer people away at this point solely on the customer service of my dealership. After spending over $80K in new vehicles when the economy was tanking, giving test drives and delivering sales to my dealership, and then getting this treatment I will agree with you that customer satisfaction isnt a high priority after the sale.
  10. Same bumper cover, So is the rear, go for it. I thought about making my own Sport because of the lower painted plastics, but in the end It was cheaper for me to get the Sport and do without the active Cruise Control.
  11. My 845 application is lasting waaaay longer than I ever anticipated. In the early fall I machine applied two light coats on the Edge and after an absolutely horrendous winter its held up unbelievably. This is only the second time Im using 845 on the car after an initial polish. The paint is still super slick so I didnt bother stripping everything down, I'll wait til this summer to do that, maybe the problems arise when its applied to thick?
  12. Absolutely. Best lighting upgrade you can make. 35W or 55W the difference is amazing. A lot of people have used DDM HIDs me included and after 2 years the DDMs are beginning to fail, not a huge deal since they cost only $40 but its still a hassle. Morimoto seems to have a good name in HIDs now.
  13. loose connection on the camera? You can try to get the unit out from the outside and check to see if the wires may have contracted and broke from cold weather. Still under warranty id bring it back to dealer. If you need to get into the inside from the tailgate its fairly easy with the plastic just popping straight off.
  14. My point being, there was no pricing info on daytimebrightlites about the cost of the lights. Ive got it now, $350 thanks.
  15. Wow don't beat yourself up over a zune. There are much much better media players that play nice with MFT other then the Zune. Geez, Springtime I'm going to make a faceplate mount to drop a new Google Nexus in front of the dash LCD so it can connect through BT and stream music, movies, as well as being able to be fully usable for all its functions! Drop the Zune in the donation bin at goodwill and buy yourself something nice for Christmas that works with MFT, there are PLENTY! And Smile! You've got a great looking, nice riding, SUV!
  16. Ive had a few problems with MFT, nothing too bad and its been working normally for me for the past year and a half. My 22's leak air on my Sport, I think the dealer is replacing the wheels now (We'll see) overall, I like my Edge and I'd be hard pressed to find a new SUV that I would feel the same about if I had to replace this one. The 2015 looks great to me if they kept it the way the concept looks, but that's still a way off. Why not lease one for 24 or 36 months? By the lease end the new ones will be out and you can decide if it was the car for you or if you'd like to try something else? Maybe you'll love it so much you'll buy out the lease?
  17. Yes really! I clicked on the link in the post. Try it. I Went here... www.daytimebrightlites.com and found no pricing info. Thanks for a working link with prices.
  18. Oh. You actually have 2009-2010 Sport wheels on your Explorer and 2011 Sport wheels in the box. Your 2011 Sport wheels will most likely leak, as I explained, my Edge in in the shop for them to address this for the 3rd or 4th time.
  19. Im parked outside, alarm always set, but I do drive more than the OP, even though in 3 years im just over 22K miles.
  20. Ive had the same problem with my DDM 55W 5000's. I sent back the ballast which they tested and then sent me a bill for. I installed these the fall of 2010 and they worked perfectly until the spring of 2013, then PFFFT! No amount of on / offing would get them to fire. I've never had a problem with a set of DDM HIDs in the past but this had made up for it I guess. EDIT: Just bought these to see if it will help. https://www.hidextra.com/capacitor/

  22. What do you mean by newer black spoke wheels? They look exactly the same as the 2011's?
