Yes! We've had this happen a couple times and my wife thought I was crazy. I solved it the same way, by adjusting the brightness up and down. Unfortunately it hasn't happened enough for me to pinpoint the circumstances, but I've been keeping my eye on it for when it happens next.

Congrats on the new ride! Unfortunately I can't help you with the headlight issue as I have the factory HIDs, but maybe it's just an aiming problem on yours? If I remember correctly, some claim the stock headlights are a little dim?

I've just had bad experiences taking stickers off things... paranoid I'll be left with a gummy residue Can't be that hard I guess... never even thought of the tint guys needing to take it off!

Has anyone tried removing the Sirius sticker on the driver's side window? I have no interest in Sirius and want to take the eye sore away but don't want to leave a mark on the window

The update is only for those that didn't install the latest update. Can anyone who has installed the current update confirm if the version number is still 3.2.2 (same as version a few days ago)? Since I upgraded earlier I can't see this version -- I hope it's the same or we'll be screwed going forward I think!

Finished my update a little while ago... took only 20 minutes from start to finish. I also didn't lose any settings at all (radio, sirius, nav favorites, phone pairings), upgraded without any issues. The temp on the big screen is sometimes one degree off of the small screen which is strange, but nothing huge. I don't have the phone text overlapping issue another user had, and my screen shuts off immediately when opening the door which is good (i.e. no change in pre-update behavior).

So the four square screen no longer shows artist/track when playing music from a USB drive? Also, how long does the screen stay on after opening the door? I also like the instant off so this would potentially delay me in updating my system.

Just a heads up... you should update from syncmyride.com as it will tailor the update for your car. The download I received to the USB stick was only about 17mb instead of the full package of >700mb. The people with quicker installs might have downloaded it properly instead of using the full file linked in the first post.

Unfortunately nav must be a factory option. You can't just purchase the SD card and use it in a non-nav vehicle.

I just contacted WeatherTech and was told about 3-4 months (which brings me into the snow season unprotected ). According to the rep I was talking to, they the 2012 is not compatible but he was not sure how or why so maybe they are just assuming?

If your nav isn't working and your outside temp isn't working, those are specific defects that your dealer should be fixing. Your other MFT issues (black screen) are also indicative of a bigger specific issue that your dealer should be able to troubleshoot. Those are not normal issues. I've only had my Edge for a few weeks, but it has been driven A LOT. I have had absolutely no issues with MFT, which is surprising because I consider myself a very technical person and I tend to push my electronics pretty hard to get as much as I can out of them. I went into this with realistic expectations since really when do you ever have a 100% frustration or issue free time with such an integrated computer system. You want to be on the cutting edge of vehicle technology for this class of vehicle, you must expect some varying degrees of extra work to learn the system properly, and sit tight while your dealer fixes some odd issues. Some of the issues we hear seem to come from lack purchasing diligence (it is one of life's biggest financial transactions). Before buying this vehicle I spent over an hour going through just the MFT system to make sure I could live with it and that it worked with my phone, etc. I had realistic expectations, and a willingness to lean the ins-and-outs of the system appropriately. Maybe my opinion will change in the future, but for now this is an amazing vehicle. Ride, handling, quietness, MFT, size, features... all perfect for what we were looking for. Nothing else in the market today gives you this complete package for this price. :beerchug:

I'm not sure that's it though... mine was built in May and still has no tray. Very strange and frustrating... might try asking my dealer about it, maybe they'll throw one in (ya right )

Here we go... sorry for the error posts above Are you sure it was originally ordered from the factory with Navigation? If that option wasn't originally ordered for the vehicle, navigation won't work even if you put the SD card in... there's also software components in MFT that are required (and can't be installed after leaving the factory).
