  1. Good point, riverart. Emergency setup + rust on the rotors = bad combination!
  2. Maybe something like this would work: http://www.clipsandfasteners.com/Ford_Door_Cladding_Moulding_Clip_With_Sealer_p/a21198.htm
  3. Sorry to hear about your experience, ponder3. Is there another dealer you can try for future work? Did the reprogram fix the transmission jerkiness? EB/3.5?
  4. Great idea and results Now you'll be rolling in style!
  5. Have yet to replace, will try the "10 year old/Javier" method soon Other threads of note: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/4417-rear-wiper-blade-can-be-replaced/ http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/3474-rear-wiper/
  6. There might be suspension tuning differences from the factory with the Sport (spring rates, I believe) to complement the 22 inch wheels. I wouldn't assume that putting 22 inchers on a lower trim level Edge would ride as well as factory, but how much difference, hard to say. Consider also that if you use lightweight wheels, the vehicle will not dampen road abnormalities as well. More sidewall also helps in this area. The tradeoff is likely to be mpg and handling (though hardly severe). Hopefully owners that have done this upgrade will chime in soon Good luck!
  7. Keeping costs down, inventory low? End of month is ALMOST here, hope they gave you a rental?
  8. Sounds like an APIM or a programming issue. Do you have MFT/Sync, and if so, are they updated to the latest software version?
  9. Not too enamored with it, would leave it to the Land Rovers. If anything, I would have it paint-matched to the hood so it doesn't stand out quite so much.
  10. I think there is a TSB (14-00-11?) for a reset tool that "fixes" the door latch switch, don't know yet how effective the fix is. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/4677-problem-with-door-ajar-sensor/page-2?do=findComment&comment=115188
  11. Most of the work is in removing the bumper cover, I believe. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/12565-how-tos-powertrain-electronics-body-more/?do=findComment&comment=99332
  12. http://www.revbase.com/BBBMotor/TSb/DownloadPdf?id=137278 To look up other TSBs: http://www.revbase.com/BBBMotor/TSb/
  13. Sorry to hear. No recall, just TSB. MIght as well see what a trusted mechanic would charge for the repair, since it's OOP, even tho I think you get a 2 yr warranty with Ford work.
  14. Torrie is practically legendary in tuning circles. But the intent of this thread is to find out what people are interested in (for example, an engine appearance cover made of carbon fiber or hydrographic'd), as well as possibly expand the offerings (for example, an Airaid kit for the Edge/MKX), if there is a gap to be filled We get volume, we can do group buys, lower prices, etc etc etc.
  15. Congrats & congrats! Glad tidings indeed Thought of any baby names yet?

  17. Do you know if it was a BCM (Body Control Module) code by any chance? Have sometimes heard of that happening.
  18. TSBs do not have implied warranties. Must be explicitly stated on the TSB that it is covered by Ford. If you have a Ford warranty and the components in the TSB are covered, the total cost - any deductibles are covered. As far as dealer inspection fee, that is incumbent on the dealer; some charge, some don't. They will want to replicate the symptoms mentioned in the TSB first. If they have a great relationship with you, they may work with you anyway.
