  1. Hey 1edge, thanks for the info. I was wondering why the Husky part fits your Edge and not mine but you are right, I do have the factory body side lower cladding. I have the Kodiak Brown and have the same problem, back gets dirty fast. Hope someone will make some proper molded mud guards
  2. Thanks Edge Man for the feedback, sounds good
  3. Just changed my 17" winter tires to the 18" original 4 season tires which my Edge came with. I found the process pretty easy and the jack / wrench were also pretty good. In the last 20 years or so I always had VW Passats and always used to switch the tires myself with no problem. Now with the Edge I wonder if there are any tips / guidelines to follow. I apply some lubricant on the studs after I clean them and follow proper rotation. But my main question is how about the torque on the wheel nuts? Since these wheels are chrome cladded, is there a chance to crack the cladding if you over torque the nuts?
  4. Thank you Haz but my Husky front mud guards did not fit at all on my Edge, the contour did not fit around the body at all The picture you point looks pretty good and I went to the site of autoanything.com but they dont give the Husky part number. I will have to check with the guy I bought mine to see if he can find the right part
  5. I had mud guards in all my previous cars and I feel like something is missing on my Edge without front mud guards. Even the rear ones I have I feel they are half mud guards because they aren't long enough. But we all have our likes and dislikes. I agree with JOEHIO, Ford should have put molded mud guards in the front
  6. So you dont waste your time / money like I did, Husky list Edge front mud guards part #58411 suitable for all 2013 models for $35.95 But after I order them, they dont fit AT ALL on my Edge and the sales guy was also surprised.

    Roof Rails

Thank you Gimp for your time, that is an ecellent info and much appreciated

    Roof Rails

I have the black roof rails on my Edge and while washing the car the other day I noticed both rails when you try to move them by hand they give a bit and I found that strange because to me they should have been rock solid. In addition, under the rails there is this black plastic strip which I think its there to cover the rails mounting bolts and is very loose but I cant find a way to lift it. I noticed that water collects there and I wonder if there is an easy way to remove the strip when I wash the car to dry out the water. Anyone has similar problems with these rails?

    Door Hinges

What kind of grease you can put on door hinges, cargo door and hood? Mine has nothing and I suspect if I dont put anything, pretty soon rust will develop which will lead to further problems
  11. LOL Dingo......that came to my mind too.................
  12. Thank you Haz, I gather that its not movable
  13. Is there a way to remove the rear middle headrest on the Edge Limited? I remember reading a post here about it but cant locate that post
  14. Hey thirdgenlxi, what can I say? In my mind leaving all doors open after a few seconds all lights should have been off. Anyway sorry again wasting your time Leaving the cargo door open, its not only to ventilate the cargo space but also convenience. Like I come home with the cargo full of groceries; takes time to unload and in between the phone rings or the kids cry or whatever you should not feel pressed to unload because the darn lights stay on. Then later on for example I remember that I should take something out the next day for repairs and so I take it and through it into the cargo area without bothering to open / close the door. There are many cases that I find it convenient to leave the cargo (trunk) open In any case, each one of us have their own way of doing things, nothing wrong whichever way we do them. My way is I prefer to leave the cargo door open without worrying that my battery will go dead. Perhaps I should change my habit because I love my Edge
  15. Sorry for leaving out from my 1st post the info about the cargo door, thought was not important. Nothing is wrong with the way the lights are functioning now but as it was mentioned by WWWPerfA_ZN0W it would have been better if there was a user setting to control / adjust the ON/OFF function. How many of us do work on their vehicle and are in the same situation? And I don’t mind to disconnect the battery if I was going to do a lengthy work but doing that it means the vehicle will have to learn again its settings and was trying to avoid that. That’s another reason Ford should provide a user setting for the ON/OFF function of all interior lights. To my opinion, rolling the windows down and keeping the doors closed provides good ventilation but not enough especially in the spare tire area.
  16. Lucky you guys cause its a nice option to have I wouldn't give up though, later I will have a look to see what's involved to modify the seat myself. Can't say that I will be able to do so but at least I will give it a darn good try
  17. The dealer was very nice and replaced my wippers free of charge Another BIG PLUS to Ford
  18. So its my mistake because I read again the brochure I got from the dealer before purchasing the Edge and it says only the Sport model with 6 way power passenger seat has the folding seat. Somehow I had the impression that the Limited also had this option which is wrong Asking the dealer the cost to change the passenger seat to a folding one, we are talking about $3,000 minimum !!! Very disappointed but it was my mistake and I got to live with it
  19. Well what happened is that I was leaving my cargo door open also and the dealer says that if the cargo door stays open the interior lights stay ON. When I went back to my garage and tried out with the cargo door closed, all lights went OFF in a matter of seconds Since my garage is heated, I have the habit of leaving all windows and the cargo door open to ventilate the interior properly. I still believe that its not right this setting. I mean when the cargo door is open the lights will go OFF in 10 minutes due to battery saver but then if I open / close a door later the lights will also go OFF in 10 minutes because the cargo door is open. Perhaps later I will find a solution to control all interior lights the way I want
  20. Thanks Haz, guess I'm out of luck
  21. Thanks Haz, I have the same page so it must be something wrong with my settings
  22. Holy sheeeeet right on man, 10 min way too long and cant find any setting for that. And since I got the truck last Thursday I open the doors often to check / lern stuff and now dont want to do that cause the battery may go down. Will ask the dealer tomorrow AM
  23. Every time I open and close a door, the interior lamps, parking lamps and puddle lamps illuminate for about 10 minutes. I find this excessive and I wonder if there is a setting somewhere that I can adjust it to about 3 or 5 minutes
  24. Hhmmm, no handle on mine. Will check with the dealer Monday. Real downer if I dont have it cause I often transport 8 feet long lumber
