I concur. I went the Costco route and special ordered my Sport. After we agreed on the price I was asked to put down $500, which is fully refundable. I can't believe the wait is almost over as I pick it up this Friday. Congrats on the decision!! Let us know what you decide.

I just got an update. My Edge is in Gibson, IN making its way west. I will post an in-depth review but I must say this has been the best purchase experience ever. Tip of the hat to Tiffany Martell at Walnut Creek Ford.

WooHoo!! my window sticker was just published, everything is correct, exactly like I ordered it.

I have weahertech in my Boss because they are the only mats that will contain a liquid spill. As you can imagine the only liquid allowed is only H2O. I ordered the fronts & back seat $179.90 + $18.00 (delivery).

Congrats-Mellyimejr!! Ordering does take a bit longer but eliminates all the searching. It's going to be Christmas in April for both of us.

I got my VIN and start build date of March 21.

FYI: RockAuto.com has the oil filter element and replacement o-rings listed at $5.07 ea.

I just checked Galpin in southern California, which is a high volume dealership in Cal and they only have 1 SEL in stock. I'm guessing late Feb / early March before we see an increase in dealer stock.

I'm no trans expert but I think it's the tune. Have you tried reloading the factory tune and road test to rule out the trans? Keep us posted.

Anyone know when the online 2016 configurator for the Edge will go live?

Sounds like the Edge you bought was a dealer's designated test drive vehicle. If the vehicle was never registered, it's considered a "new" vehicle regardless of the mileage. When I bought my first "new" car, which was a '90 5.0 Mustang I totally missed that the car was a used car on the contract. It was voluntary repo (the original buyer's financing fell through or at least that's what the dealer told me) and the car had 368 miles on it. Check your dealer contract/bill of sale and see which box is checked new or used. Long story short, I didn't have any issues with my 5.0 back then and I'd expect that you wont either; enjoy your NEW Edge!

Speaking from personal experience. When I ordered my '13 Boss 302 I put down a $10K deposit. This was most likely more than required but I was also securing an early build slot that was allotted to the dealer. The Boss' have a sequential number (on the intake), I wanted to ensure a low ##. I ended up getting #0324. Looks like the '16s are going to be fashionably late to the party, but well worth the wait I'm sure.
