2016 Sport, badly cracked windshield. Would really like a new OEM shield. Wonder how hard I will need to fight my insurance company? I am concerned with the acoustics and all the other tech regarding the windshield. I guess I could always hope that Safelite and the others do not have any after market shields yet. Any advice or suggestions from you guys? Thanks

Hey Waldo; Yes it is indeed beautiful here. Love living in the forest just under the Mogollon Rim. Close to the Grand Canyon, Sedona and all the Utah parks. At 5000 feet we get snow a couple of times a year and are 15-18 degrees cooler than the summer furnace in Phoenix. Today it is 66 degrees. Loving it. Thanks for the nice words.

I have a friend who purchased a 2016 Sport. At the time he thought that Adaptive Cruise was not something he wanted but has since changed his mind. He spoke to Ford about adding it after market and they kind of chuckled and said no. Does anyone out there know of any after market ACC he might be able to use. I looked aroiud on line but cannot seem to find anything. Thanks

Can anyone who has upgraded to the latest Sync 3 rev and is in a cold climate confirm or deny what "specialk4523 has experienced? (I am waiting for the OTA to be released). I love that my seat and wheel heat on remote start. It was about 50 degrees yesterday when I remote started and the seats and the wheel heated. I sure hope Ford did NOT code out this feature. I cannot understand why the would, but I don't understand many things they do. 2016 Sport Thanks

I am the original poster. Akirby is correct, something is amiss. Also please note, I live in Arizona at 5000 ft. I know that even if the temps are in the low 30's my seat heater does indeed come on with factory installed remote start. It does not have to be MUCH colder than freezing.

I just spent a good deal of time on the Ford web site trying to get specific information about Synthetic oil use in my 2016 sport. The Ford web site is screwed up and chat will not work. I couldn't find much else. I did however fine the below which states that Syn is for Ford and Lincoln passenger cars. It is recommended by Ford and meets all warranty requirements. That should give us a bit relief about any BS voided warranties. I made sure I book marked the page. 2016 Sport here. The seat heater lights DO NOT come on when you start the car from remote start. You need to manually turn them on. I guess the engineers figured that you are in the car and gave you control. They could have just as well left them on and give you control. Who knows what they are thinking.

Taking my 2016 Sport in for its first oil change. Dealer is recommending I use full synthetic oil instead of the blend. What do you guys think?

The coffee thing DOES drive me crazy. I just feel if there is a car in the BS and you are serious about making the lane change, a bit more of warning is a good thing. As I said, nice if you had the option to turn it off. Not gonna happen anyway.....

2016 Sport. I was thinking that I (meaning me) would like to have the ability to have an audible alert that was switchable on/off only when a car was in my blind spot AND I put the turn signal on. Sometimes I look right through the blinking little light. A tone would be nice. I mean if you put your signal on it means you are going, so if a car is there it would be nice to have a more robust warning. I know my wife would love that as she is not as alert to all the tech as I am... Just thinking.....

2016 Sport here. Mine comes on automatically if I access the cave or the tray. Not sure if the on/off switch is in the latch or somewhere else. Goes out prior to the latch fully engaging.

Is it still Fords plan to put this out over the air?

2016 Sport I was wondering if anyone knows if the seat heater system is in anyway integrated into the climate control system? Whenever I remotely start the car and it runs for a bit it seems to me the drivers seat (havent checked the passenger seat) is warm. I mean warm as the seat heater is on, which it is not. It does not feel warm like the climate control temperature inside the car made it warm. It feels just the same as if the seat heater was on at some temperature. I am wondering if ANY heat is funneled to the seat when the climate system is heating the car? I live in the mountains of Arizona and although we dont get sub zero temps we do get them into the high 20s in the morning so the car would automatically warm on a remote start with the temp control in Auto. Any insight on this?

I have purchased from Lombard, either for my 08 Expedition or my 13 Super Duty, I forget which. My dealer could not come close to their pricing. Was easy to purchase. I think I needed to take a pic of the odometer to satisfy them. I am also looking at flood for my 16 Sport. If you find it cheaper than flood, please post.

arabski; Are you saying the "Glass" is not covered with the extended warranty or the movement pieces, motor, wiring, switches are not covered? When you refer to Extended Warranty do you mean "Premium Care"? Thanks. Just wanted to know prior to purchasing any extended warranty.
