  1. I paid for the install, but I saw power wires getting spliced and added right before cigarette lighter plug and then routed to accessory fuse.
  2. Don't think I would have taken him as he was just going easy due to lack of traction. He did try a second gear start out of pity...couldn't catch up after, the Edge wasn't that slow
  3. here's my first tune test, not the best car to go against...but at least I knew the driver, eheh
  4. I didn't feel anything since I own one of those tuned/intake so I knew I was gonna lose bad, but it wasn't horrible considering he's pushing like 420 rwhp through a 6 speed manual on winter wheels. I think for what it is, a tuned Edge is acceptable in terms of performance, all things considered Before the tune...it was good for regular driving, blah for any sort of spirited driving. I think a tune put it right where it should be, no regrets.
  5. first serious run: 15' Commodore: 6.2L LS3, intake, tune, headers, 18" winter tire setup, 6 speed vs 15' Ford Edge Sport: 2.7L, tune
  6. GT500R, did you change or consider upgrading the braking performance? With winter tires on stock size I felt like I had to push the pedal real hard especially towards the last seconds of stopping to make sure I don't rear end someone. That wasn't the case on all season tires... I was thinking a good set of SS brake lines with stronger brake pads would do the trick.
  7. Drove maybe another 100 miles today, no takers on challenging me on the road plus wife wasn't excited about acceleration bursts, no one to compare to in the real world so far. As far as dyno result being bad, can't make another trip to verify but they share that dyno with Ford so I believe it's a good piece of equipment.
  8. I have a lot of faith in LMS dyno, they tuned several dozen commodores on it, I drove 1200 mi round trip with my car to put it on their dyno with a tune I installed weeks prior to test against a car they had in maybe 8 months prior. Graphs came out identical. All are SAE corrected so come in any day, night, season, the dyno numbers are solid. Obviously car won't be as fast in the summer as it is in the winter, but it does what it's supposed to do as a tool.
  9. those losses would be pretty low considering AWD setup, I am expecting low 20's usually but who knows... My last RWD car had 17-18% loss
  10. well, my "last" car has the thickest steering wheel I ever seen, got the biggest engine I ever had (6.2L), has front 4 piston Brembo brakes so the performance certainly went down even after the tune. But...the up side is a bigger trunk and AWD and that makes my wife happier...so I guess I will just get brighter lights or something, ehehe Come summer I'm thinking of throwing a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports on in 285/35/21" which should certainly make it more fun to drive and reduce the need to slow down. Thank you for the welcome, I do visit Maryland couple times a year.
  11. created personal page, drove a little more today, nothing too crazy. So far averaging 14mpg with closed windows, a/c always on. The tune seems to be providing power everywhere, all the time regardless of gear, 10% throttle is enough to pass most people. More highway driving tomorrow, and maybe I will throw in a quick dash cam video if I don't forget. So far, didn't notice any quirks in the tune but can't confirm power levels until I find a decent car to blow away. I was doing some simple math based on LMS dyno numbers, and base was 225/250 and tuned more like 325/350. And then I transferred that to crank and the power loss in AWD is like 28%!?!?!?!? I've never seen losses that big...for ex a boosted BMW X3 sees a 22% power loss in HP and 28% in TQ...but ours is like this across the board. Not sure if this is normal for a Ford but it seems crazy to me, because 325/350 to all wheels is like 447/490 crank... 310 >>225>>loss (27.5%) 0.725806 350 >>250>> loss (28.6%) 0.714286 325 >>(crank based on loss) 447.7778 350>>(crank based on loss) 490

  16. $489 a month on a 47k Sport AWD with 401a, pano roof, 21" wheels. 10k 3 year lease. Got them to throw in all weather mats front, rear, trunk and wheel locks. This was in NJ. Taxes rolled in, 0 down, perfect credit.
  17. Just wanted to quickly introduce my self, New York City, 2015 Ford Edge Sport AWD, pano sunroof, 401a, HID, 21" wheels. already laser jammer protected, tinted, LMS tuned, and on winter tires. You can see more of me in the 2015 Edge section :-) I post a lot of photos and sometimes videos depending on how you feel about speed.
  18. Hey guys, new owner of a late 2015 Edge Sport, Pana sunroof, 401a, 21" wheels. Took it out first week of Jan. Here are my mods so far: 1. Llumar Formula One Pinnacle tint - 35% front two windows 2. AntiLaser Priority Laser jammer - 3 heads + bluetooth+HiFi speaker - hard wired 3. Escort Redline radar detector - hard wired 4. KDLinks X1 (2x) - dash/rear cameras - hard wired 5. Winter Pirelli Scorpion wheels - 265/40/21 6. Ford wheel locks - received free after dealer was a pain in the @$$ 7. All season Ford rubber mats front, rear, trunk tray - received free same as above 8. Last but not least - Livernois 93 tune - should be good for 325/350 awhp Coming soon: LED DRL - white A little background about me: I have driven medium/large 4 door sedans since I got my license, it's weird for me to be sitting up so high. This is not my first AWD car, my first was in an Acura with SH-AWD which was clearly superior due to rear wheel power distribution. My last two cars were RWD, one made in Korea and one made in Australia. I like to stay under the radar and my cars are usually on the bland side, at least before I am done with them.
  19. Just bought a Sport and the all season tires are now for sale, I like to use summer/winter tires. They have less than 300 miles on them, essentially new. These retail for about $300 each shipped, if you get them locally you can save a couple hundred bucks. Located in New York City. $900 037
  20. or you can get a four door and buy my SS, LS3, bout 480hp crank with just intake and a tune.
  21. Wheels locks installed, photo
  22. not sure if OP already bought tires but I am selling my OEM all season tires if interested.
  23. stock 15' Sport with HID option is D3S which acts as both a high beam and low beam (in a single bulb). DRL is H15.
  24. Will do a a few more miles on the weekend but the 19 I just added felt like getting a new, more powerful car. I am coming from a much faster car but sitting high up is a different feeling and all wheel drive shove seems more secure than the rear trying to pass you. I giggled a little, good times. 93 was aggressive but 91 was listed with firmer shifts, I thought I would get those too, a little annoyed there. Will see how I feel over time but more power was definitely welcome. Will start my own thread soon, a single thread with photos and random stuff.
