  1. Both are 4 cylinders. I've got to do some driving around today, so I'll see if I can hook up to FORScan & monitor for the shutters. It's just odd that there's 0 info about active shutters or grilles in the owners manual. My wife's Edge did make a mention of it
  2. I can't tell any bad side affects, but I was shocked to see that Ford got rid of that feature seeing how it could be helpful in the northern states / Canada. There must be a reason why. I'll have to watch the gauge when I get onto the highway from our house & see if it'll get up to operating temp quicker. I do know that if drive more aggressively, it would get up to temp faster, but I try not to. (Wife is expecting in April & trying to 'calm down' my driving. It's VERY HARD TO DO with all the idiots out on the road)
  3. Once it reaches operating temp, it stays there. Even if I stop at a light. I'm not a very aggressive driver usually (the display says 27.8mpg currently) so I think that's part of the 'reason'. I drive the wife's Edge similarly & hers is up to temp within a mile or two in the same weather conditions.
  4. I've noticed that since the weather has turned colder that my new 2020 Edge doesn't get up to operating temp very easily. I've driven several trips between about 5-10 miles & varying speeds (30-60 mph) & my Edge just barely reaches operating temperature if at all at the end of my trip. My OBD2 monitor also confirms that the car is around 140 - 160 degrees instead of around 180 degrees. My wife's 2016 SEL is usually up to operating temps usually within a mile or two after start up. The only difference is that it appears that my 2020 doesn't have the active shutters that our 2016 does. I don't notice any difference in heat or performance, but just concerned that it the weather gets closer to 0 or below that it might have problems keeping up with the cold. My Edge does have the 'cold weather package' but that appears to be heated steering wheel & wiper area & all weather floor mats. I searched in the owners manual & can find nothing about active shutters or grilles or anything about it. Anyone else have any insight on this?
  5. So the same kit for the '13 - '18 2.0 Fusion & MKZ & '15 - '18 Edge 2.0 Edge
  6. Did they include a part # or anything in the email? I'd imagine that it's VERY similar to the Escapes version.
  7. Don't see that listed on their website yet. Wonder if it will take some time to reflect the change.
  8. What is pictured is in this post what I wanted to order. The above pictures are what was delivered. The bolt that I received looks nothing like the engine grommet that I ordered.
  9. I can tell you that AG9Z-00812-D isn't the correct part #. These look like bolts for the engine. Not for the engine cover.
  10. Had something very similar on my Mazda CX7, turned out to be the Drive Shaft. Buddy of mine has a new Exploder & his had the same symptoms as you. He also had his Drive Shaft replaced.
  11. Can confirm that this fits a 2020 SEL. It did take less than 5 minutes to install & came with the clips needed for installation.
  12. added OEM Splash Gaurds Front & Rear. Also added the dual horn instead of the road runner single horn, MUCH Better ? Working on a Engine Cover & Hood insulation, as well as painting the brake calipers
  13. Got back from said road trip & promptly did an oil change with Mobil 1 5W30 & a Motorcraft FL-910S filter (Ford & their crazy part #'s, BE8Z-6731-AB is a FL-910S) at 2,863 miles as well as started 1 coat of undercoating it with fluid film.

    End of an Era

Didn't last 10 minutes at home before FORScan was up & running & the tinkering began...

REALLY wanted an ST or Titanium, but couldn't beat the price. Our 2016 has treated us nicely, so why not continue the trend? Funny thing is, the down payment between the 2 was about the same & the 2020 was more expensive than hers (Cold Weather Package, AWD, Adaptive Cruise, Lane Centering, Co-Pilot 360, etc.), her payments are $520/month & Mine are $370/month LOL. Gotta love that 0% financing, rebates & incentives ?

Wouldn't let me post 2 pics in the same post because of size. Our 2016 in Kona Blue & our 2020 in Atlas Blue:

    End of an Era

My CX7 has treated me well over the 9+ years. It was bought certified used with 38,000 miles in June 2011. The purpose of that car was to be a weekend traveler & road trip car. It did several over my time, but having to always pump it full of premium & get around 23 mpg on the highway was never fun. It was a fun car to drive as it handled the twisties OK for being a CUV & always made people do a double take when they got passed by it. However, it was starting to show its age & the wife didn't like driving or riding in it because of the ride quality. I really wasn't looking, but found out the Ford is offering 0% financing & all kinds of incentives to move inventory, YAY COVID-19. So we made the decision to trade my CX7 in for a 2020 SEL AWD in Atlas Blue. Obviously this car has way more tech than the 7, but the ride quality is on par with my 2016 SEL FWD Edge, as it should be.
  18. Got to be careful with cheap cans. A lot of times there's just steel wool or nothing at all to condense the gases in the can. Love to hear you did this.
  19. I use Mobil 1 Full Synthetic & OEM Oil Filter in our 2016 & I have no complaints. I believe that I changed the oil around 3,000 miles for the 1st oil change then have used Mobil 1 ever since.
