  1. Depending on the severity of the damage, i would get an alignment. Light curb rash usually doesn't require an alignment, but if she did enough damage to warrant a WHEEL replacement, then I would DEFINITELY get an alignment to cover all the bases. These newer vehicles are so tight within their specs, a big curb hit could knock it out of spec (which can also be said for pretty much every vehicle). I'd plan on, at minimum & based solely on your description, 1 wheel replace & 4 wheel alignment. You may possibly need 2 new front tires, depending on the severity of the damage, which a tire shop should be able to tell you whether or not you need one.
  2. Says that they sucked it out & refilled. I'd check fluid with a white zip tie to co firm new fluid in there.
  3. Do you have a voltage tester? See what the battery is doing when the vehicle is running? Should be around 14 volts running & around 12 volts not running. Obviously it isn't going to test amperage, but it 'almost' sounds like the motor for the power lift gate isn't working, weather it's not got enough power or the motor is bad. When you hit the button by the steering wheel & the hazards flash, that usually indicates that the lift gate should open, does on mine. Do you hear like a gear turning when you open & close the lift gate manually? I can usually hear it when it's opening & closing manually or automatically. It's not like the typical 'hissing' noise from the struts when you open or close the lift gate. BUT, i've heard if you slam the lift gate down too hard or force it to open or close, this could damage the gears in the lift motor. Whether or not this is true, i don't know. If all else fails, i would maybe try to pull the Negative Battery cable off for 5 minutes or so & reset the computer & things & see if that fixes it. IF that doesn't work & your car is still under warranty, it's off to the dealer.
  4. True, lol. Based on your driving style, i'd not go too much over 5,000 miles between oil changes. If you're mostly highway cruising, you could probably stretch it another 1,000 miles or so, but if you're mostly in stop & go city traffic, i wouldn't go above 5,000 miles.
  5. Mact's stuff is based on a 3.5V6 & not the 2.0, but yes, should have been done a long time ago. I use Mobil 1 & a motorcraft filter. You can can a motorcraft filter from Walmart for under $5 & 6qts of mobil 1 for under $35,so roughly $40 an oil change. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/24236-diy-oil-changes/?fromsearch=1
  6. Those fog lights look amazing. What all did you have to do to get them to work? Special parts from Europe?
  7. You can use the H9 bulb, just need to modify 1 tab & the light output is much better than stock H11 output. Is it HID? No. Is the H9 conversion a good mod for under $30? Yes.
  8. Usually, if you're not sure what they are, you can click on them & it gives you a brief description of what it is.
  9. When you read the codes, there should be an option on the bottom of that page that says to clear codes.
  10. I ended up with the non chrome oem 18's on my SEL. Tires & TPMS sensors was like $800 shipped to my door. Pretty sure that you browse Craigslist or ebay & find a set. I'm pretty sure that the was also a slight bolt pattern change, not sure what year, so older edge wheels won't fit. If i was you, I'd look for 2015+ wheels. They usually show up around this time of year, just before winter.
  11. Pretty sure if you search my username & catch can, you can find it quite easily, but here you go: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/22063-oil-catch-can-on-the-20l-ecoboost/page-2
  12. Nearly 6 months to the day... Replacing the cabin air filter again..... Bought 3 from Tousely Ford Parts for cheaper than ebay or Amazon,$55 for 3 shipped to my door. $31 on Amazon & $20 on ebay for 1.
  13. Just as an announcement, Amazon & Advanced Auto are having a sale on the 20oz Chevron Techron Fuel Cleaner. I picked up 4 bottles. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00092893E/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?tag=slicinc-20&ascsubtag=7da14438b5fb11e8966952891ca1aa110INT&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 https://slickdeals.net/f/12031871-amazon-com-has-20oz-chevron-techron-concentrate-plus-fuel-system-cleaner-on-sale-for-6-99
  14. Wow, i got my winter set of wheels for like $800 2 years ago, now they're over $1,000, sheesh! I went with OEM 18 wheels (no chrome) & tires. I believe that it came from a company in Michigan & i live in Ohio. Only 'issue' i had was the tpms sensor learning process. I would drive around for a week & it wouldn't learn the new tpms/wheels. I ended up with FORScan and it helps to learn the new tpms. Maybe keep an eye out on ebay/Craigslist for a deal. They'll pop up around October/November.
  15. Sync 3 is a much better interactive system over the previous versions. You also get the ability to run Android Auto & Apple Car play (apple has to have the usb hub swapped out to work). Having Android Auto gives you the ability to also use apps like Waze from your smart phone, even if you don't have built in Nav.
  16. 2016+ has Sync 3 & mainly the same options. Minimum i would go would be an SEL, but the Titanium is worth it if you can find 1 wit the options you want & a good price. I have the 2.0 & it's been a nice engine. Ours is FWD, so obviously not quite the same as your looking for, but the fuel economy is decent & power is great. Reliability hasn't been seen yet as the twin scroll 2.0 hasn't been out long enough, but I'd imagine that it's pretty good. Keep up on your oil changes & maintenance and it should last you a long time.
  17. Possibly, but would be cheaper with FORScan. Just need a laptop & OBD2 adapter & download Forscan which is free.
  18. That can be reprogrammed with FORScan if you want
  19. Do you not have a rear power point between the front seats
  20. Not sure what your point is? A little bit of Oil is supposed to go into the intake for lubrication? Adding AR6900-P MAX will neutralize the effects of this? This doesn't appear to be available in the US.
  21. Yes i know seasonal changes can effect what the can catches. The can collects vapor from the crankcase/PCV, wether its oil/gas/water/combination of all, & then it condensates on materials in the can & collects it in the bottom portion of the can. So, I'm not 100% sure what you're trying to say with your above comment. Cars that are constantly in high rpm's or have a constant heavy load on the engine, will have blow by, which is vented back through the intake manifold & coke on the back of the valves because of the heat from combustion chamber. The purpose of the can is catch most/all of this before its injected back into the intake.
  22. I know my 2016 SEL has configurable DRL's. I'm on mobile & can't see your location, but is DRL mandatory in your area? I believe that mine is on the left side menu under settings & lighting
  23. A TSB is "Hey if this is the problem, this is likely the fix. Follow these procedures to verify" If you're not under warranty, then the cost is on you to fix. A Recall is where the dealership/Ford fixes the issue free of charge.
  24. Kinda been discussed before. Ford did make you buy the whole entire panel at first, but now you can buy the individual clips. Can't remember where the threads are on this, but unfortunately, you're not the 1st.
