  1. Autoblog has posted a new first drive review of the 2019 Nautilus and touches on some of the same things that the Edge ST will have, such as the increased engine power, 8 speed transmission, stop-start system and suspension. I expect the Edge ST will have a differently tuned transmission and suspension, but still some good impressions here that may translate somewhat to the Edge. https://www.autoblog.com/2018/09/21/2019-lincoln-nautilus-first-drive-review-5d3we8x/ The considerably more powerful twin-turbo 2.7-liter V6 remains optional, rated 335 hp at 5500 rpm and 380 lb-ft of torque at 3250 rpm. It also benefits from a new eight-speed automatic, which improves its fuel economy from 17 mpg to 18 mpg in the city and 25 mpg to 27 mpg on the highway. As expected, the V6 is noticeably quicker, with a surge of power at 3,000 rpm and a strong pull up to six grand. This engine uses a different eight-speed (both are designed and built by Ford, according to engineer Jim Pfeiffer), and its unique gearing is well-matched to the V6. Paddle shifters are standard, and both engines have very smooth stop-start systems. Select S (Sport) instead of D (Drive), and the Nautilus gets a bit more steering effort and tighter throttle response. It also remaps the transmission for more aggressive gear selection, which includes downshifting under hard braking. On the twisty two-lanes around Castaic Lake, which are smooth as glass, the Nautilus could keep a satisfying pace. Its all-wheel drive and 265/40R21-sized tires providing admirable grip, and there's plenty of power to get you to the next corner. Lincoln revised the suspension damping and changed the rear suspension bushings, but its engineers say the goal was to improve the ride, not to add handling performance. I'd say they achieved both.
  2. Ford has provide a press release with some more info about a new AWD system in the 2019 Edge. New 2019 Ford Edge, including all-new performance-enhanced Edge ST, introduces new all-wheel-drive disconnect, a first-for-Ford system that helps improve traction and reduce gas usage over the previous model All-wheel-drive disconnect switches automatically between two-wheel and all-wheel drive in a fraction of a second, using a form of artificial intelligence to sift through information like wheel slip, road conditions, vehicle speed, windshield wiper usage and outside temperature Other Edge and Edge ST tech features that help reduce fuel consumption include active transmission warm-up, deceleration fuel shutoff and exhaust gas recirculatiom It also has some info about preliminary fuel economy numbers too; With standard all-wheel drive and a 2.7-liter V6 EcoBoost® engine, Edge ST, the first SUV from the Ford Performance team, has EPA-estimated fuel economy ratings of 19 mpg city/26 mpg highway/21 mpg combined. Actual mileage may vary. Looks like they may be in dealerships in a couple of weeks: The new Edge and Edge ST are due to arrive in showrooms later this month. https://media.ford.com/content/fordmedia/fna/us/en/news/2018/09/12/new-ford-edge--edge-st-use-artificial-intelligence-to-help-impro.html
  3. So Production has started on some of the STs? Do you think Canadian dealers will get them any sooner since they are built in Canada?
  4. Ordered my 401A ST on July 10th, and a couple days ago my dealer said that production has not yet started, and no VIN # or anything to provide yet.

I received a copy of the pricing guide for Canada, don't have the US unfortunately but you can infer prices from the Canadian one. <removed by moderator>

  8. There's an interview from the Detroit Auto Show that seems to answer this; http://www.roadandtrack.com/car-shows/detroit-auto-show/a15334975/2019-ford-edge-st-jamal-hameedi-interview/ "The Edge is fully an ST," Hameedi told us. "It doesn't skimp anywhere. Its transmission calibration is unique, the engine, the suspension, the aero, the cooling, the brakes, the tires are all unique." Hameedi doesn't expect any owners to take an Edge ST to the track, but he says it passes all of Ford Performance's track durability requirements. Because it passes these requirements, Hameedi says that it can handle a challenging mountain road, and it'd even be fun. He's confident it's even better than the best high-performance SUVs out there.

    CAI

Can someone please tell me which AFE filter, or other air filter, fits the 2.7L Ecoboost? There's a lot of conflicting info out there and none of the sites seem to recognize fitment for the Edge Sport.
