Does the standard powertrain warranty cover the PTU on the all wheel drive Edge? I have 20k miles on my 08 limited? I have no leaks yet. I've read cold weather my be a factor. I'm in Connecticut so we get the cold. If so, I'm not conserned, what's it 6 years 60k?

My 08 awd limited has 30 k miles NOLeak. How many edges are on the road? People only post when they have problems.I bet Les than 1% have the leak. I'm not saying it's not a problem, but I don't think it's as wide spread enough to not buy one. I agree it sucks if you end up with one but 30 somthing post? Again how many edges are on the road?

What year and how many miles on your Edge? From what I understand its part of the powertrain warranty, (5 years 60 k miles) Your over that amount?

They did it in mine, 08 limited with sync. It had the standard radio. The dealer installed the Nav unit and every thing including sync works perfectly! Lenny

I like mine.

Lets not forget the Myth Busters also did there testing, same results, Nothing..

Well, Ford made good and had the bumper painted for me, looks good. They even gave me a free loaner a Focus.

08 Limited AWD, 23k miles. To date, not a drop of any fluid leaking from any ware. Keep in mind that people don’t post to these forums unless they have trouble. There is a lot of Edges on the road and I doubt the majority of them have any leaks either.

my tranny just started to clunk or bang. It seemes to do it at slow speeds when steping on the has. Is this a known issue? I would love to have the tsb, if there is one, before i go to Ford. its a all wheel drive 08 limited. thanks, Lenny

Is anyone else having trouble with glare from the dash? I get a glare and reflection of the dash on the winshield? If so what have you tried on the dash to help? Thanks Lenny

Does the brakes on the edge have a Brake Pad Warning Sensor? You know that little piece of metal that rubs and squeaks while the car is moving with foot off the brake peddle when the pads are worn down. Thanks

My old Explorer needed front pads every 10k miles.

Did they give you any paper work? I would want paper work for my records.

Does any one have this phone (LG Xenon) on the AT&T network? If so what features work or do not work? Im looking to replace my Moto Razr 2, V-9. This phone works great with Sync, pretty much all features work including text, phonebook download and custom ringtones. Im looking for at least text and phonebook downloads to work. I wanted a Blackberry, but no Text. Its hard enough to find a phone I like, now I have to find one I like and works with the features of Sync I want to use. Thanks

I had the dealer check my 08; he made me a copy of a TSB that describes the problem. When I find it I’ll post what it says exactly. It basically says this is normal and will not affect engine performance or engine long term reliability.

Im with you on this one, Even with the cabon air filter, the dust on that builds up in the interer is proof.

The dealer installed into my 08 Limited already with Sync, a factory Nav , every thing works perfectly. the cost was $2200.00. I love it. If you go for it, make sure you get in writing that includes Sirius radio (that is if you want it).
