I have the upgraded sound system with the sub. My question is : Will it make a noticeable difference if I just replace the factory sub with a good aftermarket one......or will I have to amp the new sub to make a difference ? If I need to amp it, can all wiring be done in the rear of the vehicle? I do not want to do this if it is too complicated as I simply do not have the time.

Yeah, I really dont understand any of what West is posting. These features do not apply to the Edge in any way, shape or form. PLease give it a rest West.

Originally, I had thought the TPMS light would illuminate if the pressure dropped about 4 or 5 psi. Letting you know you ned to add some air. This is just not so. The light will trigger when the pressure drops to around 20 psi !! This is a danger area and I think it should go off sooner than that. I was told this by a Ford tech and he referred to the tpms as an "idiot light" If pressure in your tire is that low as to trigger the light, you may have a leak in the tire. That does suck Woliver, but I am sure the dealer will resolve the issue.

Hey Grey, you are right, rims with a smaller sidewall tire will be more prone to damage from potholes/uneven pavement etc. I do like the look of the 20's but they come with a cheap tire. The 18's at least on the limited's, come with michelins......which are a great tire. When it comes time for replacement, the choice will be easy.

Hey BBF, if the issue with the PTU was resolved, then why are some 2010'S exhibiting this issue ? Obviously Ford has no fix for this issue as it is still occuring. I do agree with you in the fact that some make this out to be a much bigger issue than it is......and those who have had or have this issue will believe it is a major issue, just not as widespread as some may think. It is kinda scary that this issue is still rearing it's it's ugly head 4 years later........ Oy Vey !

The stereo in the sport is a downgrade of the stereo in the limited. Don't get me wrong, the sport model looks badass, but a similarly priced Limited will have more and better equipment than the sport. I honestly think that buying a limited and then throwing on some 22's would be cheaper. But then again, some people do not care about that.......just the look of the car they are driving off the lot.

I found the MTEC Ion yellow fog's for $24.99......is this a good price or a rip job ? I really hate paying for an item and then finding out later that the item could have been had for cheaper.

I use 0w-20 Mobil 1 and also use Lucas Complete fuel system cleaner at every oil change (5,000 miles) I now have over 25,000 miles and I average 18.0 mpg according to the computer and I drive maybe 90% city. I think this number is awesome considering the way I drive. I do not abuse her, but drive her hard........and considering she weighs over 2 tons ! mpg's is awesome! I have had my issues with this vehicle, but I love it ! I know now why Ford never took any money from that debacle "bailout" and posted a 1 BILLION dollar profit and surpassed the quality of Toyota. Ford is moving forward, and I am glad to be a part of it. I love this forum. I have been reading for several months and glad that I finally became a member. Thanks to all who post useful information on here. It is amazing how passionate people are about this car.....it really is a special car.....and all for the exception of the crappy economy, Ford is going to sell the crap out of these vehicles!

Same here, sometimes I get myself in trouble because I think she's not using the bluetooth........you all know what I mean. Very nice system, and due to very quiet cabin of the Edge....and I think this is a very valid point to make, I have the 18" wheels with the Michelin Lattitude Tour HP's...awesome tire in every aspect. Very little road noise.

Can anybody recommend a direct replacement yellow fog for my 2008 Edge. I have seen several cars with the yellow and it looks badace ! Seems to really light up the road. I think with the arctic white silverstars and yellow fogs, would look very nice together. Thanks !

The edge does not have "hill assist".

IMHO, the "chrome" stick on's look kinda chintzy.....with the exception of the door handle covers. I would advise against touching a mans car without his knowing.

All I know is that my AWD Edge drives like a champ in the snow. Would anybody in their right mind by an Edge to go "off-roading" I really don't think so.

Picked up some silvertars at autozone and received instant $10 rebate ! What a difference in illumination....bright white light and you can see much further in front of the vehicle. It is amazing how much the stock bulbs were that cheezy yellow color. I figure it would be better to buy them locally so if I had any issues they can be returned. I would classify this under a must do mod.

I believe the all have the anti-drainback silicone valve. I was mistaken, mine takes the FL-400 sorry about the mispost guys. I have no clue why Ford would spend extra money to change the design configuration of the oil filter . Why the heck would they not just leave it alone......Ford is known for quirks like this.

MIne takes the FL500 which was re-designed.....it is slightly shorter and smaller. What does the "S" mean and why was it changed? I have a 2008.

Check every square inch of the exterior paint. This paint is applied in very few coats and is very thin. I have like 20 knicks on the hood and bumper already ! Check for eveness of color and dirt in the paint.

White Chocolate is a sweet color ! Wife's partial to red......so we compromised, and got red !

Yes, they do have a slight blue color to the glass on the bulb. I do believe they are 65 watt which is why they tend not to last as long as the stockers. I have only heard good things about these bulbs other than the service life. Amazon.com has very low price on the silverstar ultras with free shipping ! and a $10.00 rebate....I guess the time to buy them would be now. I am willing to give them a shot and report back.

I too am interested in this mod. I would also like to be able to turn on the heated seats as well. Wow, I can't imagine getting into a warm car and sitting on a warm seat when it's 15 degrees outside !!!! I can almost feel it. Keep us posted my friend.

Just like a clean, shiny car bringing the rain Hurt. I have never seen a patch done on the inside. I guess that's the way it is done now. I have never had an issue using plugs.
