  1. I would order more brochures and wait it out. I ordered ones for 4 serperate vehciles about 3 weeks ago and got the offer for 3 of them plus another via email. They started coming as soon as 1 week (Escape) and as slow as the Edge brochure I got just yesterday.
  2. http://www.syncmyrid...packageRev3.exe or from the TSB https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1257774/tsb12-11-01.pdf
  3. Here is a link to the TSB https://dl.dropbox.c...tsb12-11-01.pdf It looks like there is a link to the software download itself in the TSB. Just like the last major update, if you have Navigation you need to get the new A4 card which is only available at the dealer.
  4. If I would have only known sooner a $69 chip could have added 60HP and 4-7 MPG. If only Ford Engineers would have known this I could have had a 345 HP Edge. There is zero possibilty that you will see any improvements whatsever. Get a refund if you can.
  5. There is a TSB addressing this. I would also check the connection from the receiver to the antenna.
  6. They're legit. That were I got mine from. Easy to deal with, and half the price the dealer was offering.
  7. Download and install the update. It will resolve the majority, if not all of your issues. I have been running it since last Thursday, and I have been pretty impressed so far. From reading the message board, the reviews seem to be overwhelmingly positive.
  8. I let mine expire and a week later I got a deal in the mail for 6 months of "Sirius Everything" for $24.99. Called them up that day and took the deal. In my experience they will always bargain with you. All it takes is a phone call and a little patience.
  9. Its installed from the factory. In my experience, the number of landmarks varies significantly from city to city. I think the upgrade is justi adding more landmarks to the Navigation database.
  10. There is an article about the upgrade in USA Today about the software update. The article states the update is about 2 months away for current MyFord Touch owners.
  11. Yes, in a heartbeat. Its got all the potential in the world, but I have completely lost faith in MFT. Who knows when the update will come out and how well it will even work. 1.5 years post release should be more than enough time to get this situation in control. I have actually started to look around a bit at potentially trading in.
  12. You are going to get a ton of varied opinions here. MFT has so much potential, but the software is indeed very flawed. It is absolutely not a learning curve issue. They have been several updates put out by Ford, but the fixes have been marginal at best. I think the upcoming rewrite may very well be its salvation, but if not, I will probably be trading mine for something else in the near future. Don’t get me wrong, the Edge is a great car, but the MFT has a lot of room for improvement. Your best bet is to probably take one for an extended test drive and see for yourself. Just don’t expect MFT to operate like it has been portrayed in the commercials.
  13. I am pretty sure its your antenna. When I was installing one in my old 2010, I was getting the same error, and it was just a bad connection from the receiver to the antenna. I believe the Navigation systems always default to Dearborn Michigan (Ford Motor Company HQ).
  14. You are sadly mistaken my friend. The vast majority or issues are absolutely software related. 700 miles is hardly enough time behind the wheel to make your assessment. I am at 20K right now and MFT has given me more issues than I care to mention. I am optimistic about the update, but I still would advise caution when buying a vehicle with MFT.
  15. Login to the syncmyride website and select the "update and customize tab" It should list your version on the right side of the screen. If not, you can download, install, and run the sync status checker from the same location. Under no circumstance should you pay the dealer for this information.
  16. I am with you. There is no way I would pay a dealer $500 to install a hitch. I have no definitive answer to your question, but there are no 4 cylinder models of the Edge prior to your 2012 Ecoboost. All previous generation Edges came with the 3.5L or 3.7L V6's. Regardless, I am guessing that the undercarriage would be the same on all models as a cost saving measure.
  17. Updated this morning from 2.4. As advertised, it took about 45 minutes to complete. I see no major changes, but the overall system responsiveness does seem improved. I am just glad it appears that Ford is going to start allowing for user updates. No one wants to go to the dealer every month or two for a software update.
  18. I believe your best bet is looking inside the passenger side fuse box. Here is an old thread with some other potential locations.
  19. The keypad is one of my favorite options on Fords. I use it every time I go for a run. It is so nice not to have to carry your keys with you.
  20. I believe that you are out of luck if navigation was not installed from the factory. I have not heard of anyone who has been able to upgrade post delivery. Sync turn by turn navigation is probably your only option without a portable unit. Sirius Travel Link has nothing to do with navigation. Its for things such as Fuel prices, weather, scores, and Movie show times.
  21. Try Flood Ford www.floodfordesp.com/. Its a little over a $1000 for 84/125 with a $0 deductible.
  22. Plus you can get the Ford ESP significantly cheaper if you shop around online from other Ford dealers.
  23. Your Navigation unit is from a 2009 or 2010, thus no HD radio option. I don't believe applink is currently available in any Edge.
