colinero Posted July 11, 2012 Report Share Posted July 11, 2012 (edited) I got my 2010 edge sport Ingot silver metallic a few weeks ago, and I want to do a few mods to it. I want to get an engine cover, I have seen pictures of 2011 SEL and Sport that shows the engine with an engine cover, I called ford dealership and I was told that the edge does not come with an engine cover. Can anyone tell me if this is true? I have the 2 pics to show. Anyone any ideas?. Thanks for your help. My 2012 Limited has one like the one in the righthand pic, and my friend's '13 Sport has that one from the pic on the left. Both stock. Tacyon Posted July 12, 2012 Report Share Posted July 12, 2012 The "cover" is a big thick rubber foam, boot if you will. Its mainly there to deaden the noise created by the fuel injectors and quiet the noise of the engine over all... oh and it also looks nice. I had my concerns about it being a thermal barrier as well.
