Is it a direct train/truck trip or a multi hop journey via car carriers etc. where it will trickle down a tree/chain of distributors/dealers and other middlemen ? That rail car will then be passed through different junctions and swapped from one train to the next on its way to the next junction. When it gets to your local distribution yard, it will be unloaded from the rail car and wait for a truck to pick it up and take it to the dealership.
