Clh64c
I've had my 2015 Edge Sport for 2 years, it only has 8,000 miles on it. From day one the driver seat will shift from side to side when turning a corner, getting on and off ramps... I can't recreate the action when the car isn't moving. You can't grab a hold of the seat and feel it shift. The seat isn't moving from the rails, rather only the actual bottom of the seat (where you plant your butt) moves and only when driving. It feels as though something within the seat is broken. I have one more year on my warranty but the dealer I bought the car from just laughs at me when I explain the problem. I'm not the only one who has felt the seat shift, so I know it's not just me. I'm at my wits end with it. If I can't find a solution, I'm going to seriously consider trading it off for a Volvo. Any ideas? Advice?
omar302
Go to another dealer. Worst case scenario, change the seat bottom and/or track. Would be cheaper than what loss you'll incur from trading it in.
enigma-2
It seems to common across all Ford products (a lot of complaints in the F150 forum). Been tracked a loose torx screw seems to be the cause. https://www.f150forum.com/f118/driver-seat-seat-shifting-turns-345647/ Focus forum. http://www.focusst.org/forum/focus-st-discussions/45474-2015-st-loose-wobbly-seat.html#/topics/45474
Clh64c
Thanks. At least that's something to check. Appreciate the help!
1004ron
Thanks for those links @enigma-2 This has been bugging me for a long time and I've seen two DIY methods that I'm considering. The one in the attached PDF uses 3/4" pieces of coolant hose with hose clamps, but I'm leaning towards the sway bar clamps. Just not sure what size sway bar clamps to get, 3/4" or 7/8" - might get both sizes off Amazon. Two-Piece Clamping Collar, Carbon Steel with Black Oxide Plating, 7/8" Bore Size, Set Screw TSB 18-2361.pdf

Just FYI that the TSB fix is holding.
