I live in Minnesota, so the weather can be hard on a car. I haven't had any problems with the grill or the logo. The only problem I had was the wheels corroding and Ford replaced them. Actually I have the grill, front logo, and scores of chips on the hood Ironically I don't have chips on the front bumper. Anyway, I haven't said anything to the dealership about this yet. I have an '08 with 52k miles on it (mostly highway in Cleveland and shitty roads) and the only thing that was chipping was the blue oval on the emblem.
