Two different puddle lights

Recommended Posts

Just picked up a 2012 Ford Edge SEL and was swapping out the bulbs for LED. The drivers side puddle light has a bulb in a rubber boot that pulls out of the side once you pry out the plastic light unit. It’s wire has a quick disconnect as well. The bulb is a standard T10 for that one. However when I went to replace the passenger side the plastic unit is a sealed unit with two wire connections on it so I can’t replace the bulb. Looks like I have to replace the entire unit. Why would the car have different lights and which one is OEM?

Thanks!

Clicked on your "example" but it doesn't take me anywhere. These are what I used, paid extra, but no complaints. Bright and wide pattern. (Example only, there are many to choose from).
